Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has advised Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote and other business moguls to ignore the call to join the 2023 presidential race.
Bibian Anekwe News reports that the Arewa Youth Assembly had called on Dangote, Femi Otedola, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mike Adenuga, among others, to join the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
In a statement on Saturday, the Northern youths noted that Nigeria should not be left to the present crop of politicians, adding that those in the private sector have the managerial acumen and leadership skills the country needs.
Reacting to the call, Sani urged the business moguls not to allow the youths to drag them into politics, urging them to concentrate on their businesses.
The lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly particularly asked Dangote to shun the call by the youths to run for Presidency and complete his refinery.
Sani made the submission in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.
He wrote, “Dear Dangote, ignore those northern youths dragging you to politics, concentrate on your refinery. Make work no come stop. (sic).”
