Today, the executive governor of Rivers state and leader of the PDP south south Nigeria, H.E, Nyesom Wike, paid a strategic fraternal visit to his brother and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southeast, H.E, Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. This is as a result of the uncommon bond, trust and workable relationship, both leaders share as allies.
The Rivers state helmsman, while addressing the leaders and good people of Enugu state at the home town of Enugu governor, clearly demonstrated sincerity by affirming to the people that the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as a good man, as well, stating his position in the party as a shining light for the PDP. Governor Wike went ahead to confirm to Nigerians who attended the well organized reception in his honour, confessed that the leader of Enugu and the Southeast geopolitical zone of the PDP, as a very quiet, gentle and a man who always set his eye on the ball at any given time.
Recall that Wike’s true confirmation of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as a leader who has interest of his people at heart, had equally a long time ago, disassociated himself from noise makers and those selfish and self-styled political leaders who parades themselves as agents of change, but unfortunately their hearts are as dark as devil. It is important that Ndi Enugu, should consider this visit by the Rivers people, ably led by their seven star governor, as very important and strategical.
However, it also become imperative for the people of Enugu state to now understand the position of their governor in PDP as shining light and of the few who brought to bear the current national executive of the party through his commitment and pragmatic approach in ensuring that party positions are shared equally, base on the alter of equity, justice and fairness, and that was why Dr Ayu, was unanimously adopted and subsequently elected into office as the new national chairman of the party, along side with other 20 members of the NWC. This could be possible because all the PDP governors were in a consonance agreement to bring sanity into the party leadership.
On a final note; Wike was also decorated with a Chieftaincy title of Agu na eche ibe, by the council of Enugu state traditional rulers, credibly performed in person by their chairman, Amb. Lawrence Agubuzor. This is the best of new year gift from Ndi Enugu, led by the White Lion, the star of PDP, to the people of Rivers state, and in particular their governor.
Ndi Enugu, shine your eyes, and do not allow some selfish and self-styled political mischief to deceive you on who controls the power in the PDP, Southeast. It’s now evidently clear to all of us that governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is the only leader, widely acknowledged by the national leadership of the party and stamped in signature by the forum of the party’s governors who now decide and control the running of the mechanism of the party in their respective states.
