Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has condemned the brutal murder of Sadiq Abdullahi Bindawa an operative of the Department of State Services (DSS) by bandits.

Sani in a statement on his Twitter page on Tuesday evening in reaction to the incident, called for the perpetrators to be brought to book, saying the death of the security operative is lamentable.

It will be recalled Bibian Anekwe News earlier reported that Bindawa, a top personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS) was on Saturday, September 11, 2020, ambushed and abducted by bandits at his residence in Katsina, just as he returned from Abuja.

The DSS official who was until his death working with the intelligence department of the DSS Headquarters in Abuja was kidnapped alongside his four-year-old son at his residence behind Federal Secretariat in Katsina metropolis.

The bandits had requested a ransom of N25 million before they could be released to his family.

When Abdullahi Bindawa’s colleagues had gathered the ransom to be delivered to the abductors, a cross-fire ensued between them and the bandits.

Reacting to the development, Senator Sani prayed for the repose of the soul of the DSS official and called for the criminals to be apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law.

“The brutal murder of Sadiq Abdullahi Bindawa a DSS personal from Katsina state in the hands of kidnappers stands condemned. The narrative of his death is lamentable. His killers and their associates must be apprehended and brought to book. May Allah grant him Aljanna firdausi. Amin,” he wrote.
