There is a trending slang in the social circle which is actually meant to mock those who are “busy bodies” or who would never want to engage in the things of value but would rather throw their heart in the ring to impugn the characters of others to satisfy the yearnings of their political masters. Their mode of operation is very simple. Attack your enemies from every angle using the instrument of pen. Infuse as many lies as you can gather from the pit of hell and let them loose like a rabid dog on your victim.
The other day, a supposed open letter from the Enugu State professionals living in the United States of America to Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Executive governor of Enugu state surfaced on line. For all intents and purposes the letter was meant to admonish and at the same time cajole the people’s governor into allowing a free contest or put more succinctly to provide a level playing ground for the emergence of the would be standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, the party which has ruled Enugu State since the new democratic experiences emerged in 1999. The open letter went viral until a supposed co author of the letter from the Enugu State indigenes professionals in the US, Dr. Chinwe Aniekwe Ofoleta (Vice President Emeritus) came out hard on those who are bent in causing political confusion and baying for political blood in Enugu. Dr. Chinwe denied ever having hand let alone contributing to the said spurious letter or in attendance at meeting where such letter was discussed. I’m certain that those who have been used to do such letter howbeit the good intentions of the letter to Governor Ugwuanyi must have been licking their wound ever since the revered Dr. Chinwe denied she was ever in cahoot with any member of the Enugu Professional in the US and for such unfortunate reasons.
As the motive of the letter appears to have fallen like a pack of card, another supposed Enugu indigene who claimed to have written from Agbani and who bears the name, Chief Charles Obi Ngene came out with another perfidy against the person of Ugwuanyi titled
“Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Peter Mbah and their evil plot. A must to resist by Ndi Enugu”
While one would not ordinarily have bothered to join issues with the supposed Chief in this infamous journey to golgotha to smear the character of a peaceful man and a true God’s advocate in government, Gov. Ugwuanyi, it is important to remind all those fanning the embers of hatred and cooking all spurious lies in order to set our Governor against the good people of Enugu State that Enugu State is in the hands of God yesterday, today and forever. Let Chief Obi Ngene and his co-travellers in this infamous journey to make Governor Ugwuanyi the fall guy to rest assure that the God of Jacob and Isaac and the awesome God of David that Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will always call at every turn is still on the throne watching and will recompense at the appropriate time all men and women who are ready to do the dirty bidding of their shadowy masters against the people.
To these people, I use our current catch phrase “Zukwaanu nu Ike”.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a political calculator and a man of character. At the appropriate time and in the fullness of time, the one who will step into his big shoes will manifest to the glory of God. No mortal no matter how highly placed or articulated evil schemings can change that which God has decreed. He holds the ace. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is his advocate.
To our Governor, Ndi Enugu are solidly behind you. Remain focused. Enugu will forever remain in the hands of God.
