GOV. UGWUANYI DEMONSTRATES HIS LEANING FOR EMPOWERMENT

Sitting with attention in our various classes in the higher institutions and seminar halls, most of us sacrificed our precious time to listen to lectures on entrepreneurship development and I can authoritatively confirm that the overwhelming implication of the semantic import of the morpheme; ENTREPRENEURSHIP entails the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profits.

I suspect that the institutions were designed to empower us with the necessary weapons to make us self-reliant, productive, living with the aura of sufficiency but obviously so many of those of us that paid to listen to those lectures have remained a quotient of the dependency ratio in the society partly due to our own actions and inactions and partly as a result of the government’s failure to provide enabling environment for the flowering of our unique entrepreneurial skills. Today, I now understand that knowledge unapplied is as good as ignorance. So, after a deeply considered deliberation, the pragmatic administration of His Excellency, Rt . Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi recently decided to roll out a program that is designed curtail such anomaly, hence, the impetus for this exposé .

The circle of technocrats surrounding the governor of the Coal City state approved that a platform that would encourage widespread entrepreneurship development in the state should be sponsored by the government so as to reduce the skyrocketing unemployment and underemployment that keep rocking our societies.

The program which is being implemented through the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Centre of the state will ensure that interested participants have unfettered access to free company registration and are guided to as well access some soft loans, grants and incentives that would help bolster their pursuit and morales.

The Agency is offering Ndi Enugu the chance to get access to the free business name registration recently approved under the MSME Survival Fund for 6,606 slots in Enugu State.
