The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has arrived Geneva, Switzerland ahead of his “vital meeting” with some officials of the United Nations.

Naija News reports that the IPOB leader arrived Geneva in Switzerland on Monday, September 16 ahead of his meeting with UN officials, where he would be expected to present the agitation for the Republic of Biafra before the United Nations.

This online news platform recalls that Kanu took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Sunday, to reveal that he would be meeting with United Nations officials in Geneva, Switzerland tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

The IPOB leader had said that the meeting became imperative because the international community is fully aware of the plight of Biafrans in the hands of the Nigerian government whom he tagged “terrorist government.”

“I’m looking forward to leading the Indigenous People of Biafra to a vital meeting with United Nations officials in Geneva, Switzerland on Sep. 17, 2019.

“The international community is fully aware of the plight of Biafrans in the hands of the terrorist Nigerian government,” Kanu tweeted on Sunday.

Kanu’s group, IPOB also confirmed the visit in a statement on Sunday, saying: “Going by the relentless engagement of the international community by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) consider it imperative to inform the great people of Biafra, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom that in keeping with the promise of our leader during his last outing at the EU, he will be leading a delegation to the UN office in Geneva Switzerland on Tuesday 18th September 2019.”

Barely 24 hours after the statement, a video has emerged online, showing the moment Kanu stated that he has arrived in Geneva, Switzerland for his meeting with UN officials on Tuesday.
