The governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (GBURUGBURU), is a person of very significant accomplishments in the history of good governance, peace and security in Nigeria. This he has demonstrated through his 4points agenda which truly reflected on his economic blueprint for Ndi-Enugu. One of this economic development was to create wealth for the citizenry through an SME programmes which have engaged thousands of our youths into a lucrative crafts, skill acquisitions, giving of grants to our farmers and other good businesses, and training of good numbers in the auto mobile mechanism, to enable them be useful to their families, society, the state, and the nation in general, by becoming self employed citizens in other to reduce crime and criminality in the state. However, the governor has equally rolled out some good economic measures to ensure a rapid employment generation through skill acquisition programs and other related empowerments in order to make life so meaning to the people of the state.
Undoubtedly, governor Ugwuanyi, during his first term in office has programmed the people of the state in such a way that each person must be gainfully employed through a thought out initiative to create jobs by raffle draws to our small and medium market men and women in several commerce centres across the state. This vision paid well for our people due to the state government approval of funds to see to the successful completion of this programmes which lasted throughout the first 4years of the administration.
However, the state is on the path of glory, having become a destination for an economic hub, leisure and hospitality for the southeast region due to the enabling environment provided by the present administration under his watch. No wonder the chief of army staff, Laut. General Tukur Brutai once described Enugu as the most peaceful state in the federation and a very conducive zone for relaxation and enjoyments. Also on record was another confirmation of the IG of Nigerian police force, Adamu Muhammadu Abubakar who reaffirmed the earlier statement by the chief of army staff, that Enugu is a peaceful and serene environment for the economic advancement of the nation’s business to thrives, however wished that Enugu had become the capital city of Nigeria due to the good political atmosphere and peace stability, championed by the administration of Ugwuanyi.
Furthermore, Gov. Ugwuanyi has created jobs to the people of the state through several means, such as engagement of over 1,500 indigenes to always keep the state clean. He has also engaged over 2,000 people in the ministry of transport to ensure a free flow of traffic decongestion in Enugu urban areas, due to an influx of people of the Igbo extraction into the state during the incessant killings and bombing of the Nigerian populace by the Boko Haram Islamist groups that has continued to destroy the Northern part of the country where a good number of these returnees relocated from with their loved families. Gov. Ugwuanyi, created thousands of jobs through agricultural revolution, by empowering our farmers with a modern farming technologies, in the likes of acquisition of both manual and automatic operator machines which have been distributed to all the 17 local government areas in the state. Today our farmers are well taken care of under the working condition of mechanical know- how.
His Excellency, Ugwuanyi also stepped into what we see today in Enugu as a dry seasoning of agricultural cultivation. This is to ensure a food security in the state to ensure our people are not in any danger in the wake up of a new wave of another global health challenges that might befall the state in the future, and an overview the possibility of creating for our state and the government an opportunity to begin food exports to other parts of the state across the nation.
Ugwuanyi is a person of major significant accomplishments. The government of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has attended to the needs of over 1.5 million people of the state populations by their engagements of well packaged means of livelihood. The other day, H.E, the governor sent on an economic mission to abroad, a good number of our state through youths initiative programs to learn trades and skills in technological apprentice, this is to expand the economic fortunes of the state minimal federal allocation in area of public engagements by these Enugu citizens if successfully completed their assignment abroad by the sponsorship and supervision of the Enugu state government, under his watch. This is a record breaking and an achievements no Enugu previous governor has ever embarked before.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is truly a person of major significant accomplishments.
