Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi(Mr Fulfilment) of Enugu state was honoured with an excellent reserved award of Fellow by the governing council of the State College of Education Technical (FESCET) led by the institution’s board Chairman, Amb. Mrs Fidelia Akuabata Njeze. This is the institution’s reaffirmation of Gov. Ugwuanyi’s unprecedented achievements in Education through his massive infrastructures and provision of institution’s basic academic needs for improvement and expansion.
Recall, that before Gov. Ugwuanyi came into power, the Enugu State College of Eduction Technical, has remained moribund and unattended to, leaving it to an Ordinary NCE awarding institution.
The administration of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ugwuanyi came into with full force to repositions the state owned tertiary institutions across the state which (ESCET) was not left out. The administration had approached the (MBTE) board for a review on the long standing institution’s awarding Ordinary NCE certificates to a degree certified college. The dreams has been realized by the government of Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Having been confirmed by the governing council of the institution, ably led by Amb. Mrs. Njeze.
Notwithstanding, Gov. Ugwuanyi has shown silently, much political competent, resilient, capacity and leadership credence in handling the much tasking state of affairs of Enugu, especially at this stage of the lean resources accruing to the state from the federation account.
The administration has attended the infrastructures of the state owned university, tertiary institutions, and pushed for an upgrade to her current status. The administration has equally created more campuses for our higher institutions to represent the three political zones in the State, namely; Enugu north has School of Medicine, to be properly relocated when completed, as the structures are on advanced stages. Enugu east has the main Campus of Enugu state University of Science and Technology (Esut), while Enugu west goes with the state college of Agriculture, Iwollo, in Ezeagu LGA, and an ongoing state construction of the state University of Education, sited in Awgu LGA. This is the simple vision Gov. Ugwuanyi has brought to bear in our education sector to reflect true non partisan which wholeheartedly cut across the state political triangular equilibrium that connects the three senatorial zones in the state.
Ugwuanyi’s administration has reconstructed and renovated a good number of our state own Primary and Secondary schools respectively, through the following boards; (ENSUBEB)/(PPSMB).
It is also not out of quote to say that the government of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in education, has performed beyond expectations, such a way that over 1,000 Primary School building has received government attention through rapid renovations and reconstructions equally with the provisions of teaching materials, teachers reinforcements and good monthly remuneration.
His Excellency, the governor repeated same in our secondary schools,
by aggressively equipping them to enhance a conducive learning atmosphere for teachers and students.
Undoubtedly, Gov. Ugwuanyi has written his name in gold, on the state government position in our education. The history has it that few years ago, the whole teachers in the state both Primary and Secondary schools organized a 1million solidarity match for the governor to show a thank you supports to his administration’s consistency in their welfare packages and that of state other labour union. Gov. Ugwuanyi, has never relented in showing commitment for the better standard of the state workforce. This he has demonstrated by approving for the workers, the recently federal government official gazetted #30,000 Minimum Wage to compliments their yearnings.
Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has equally defined his administration’s resolve in education by continuing giving out merited scholarship to the indigent students of the state through the state scholarship board. And other meaningful engagements.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
