The leadership and entire membership of Akpugo General Assembly (A.G.A) would like to use this medium to thank the governor of Enugu State His Excellency, Right Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu worldwide) for his knack for delivering dividends of demoracy to the grassroots as seen in the ongoing rehabilitation of the Akpugo – Amagunze road. This project, no doubt, will illuminate the socio-cultural and economic life of our people in many ways. May the Lord continue to guide Your Excellency right in all you do in Jesus name, Amen.
May we also use this medium to celebrate and appreciate the Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial Zone and former governor of Enugu state His Excellency, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, Member representing Nkanu East and Nkanu West Federal Constituency Hon. Chief Nnolim Nnaji for always being on the side of his people when it matteres most. The executive chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area Hon. Chief Nwabueze Nnamani has, within a short period, shown a large dosage of competence in leadership and common sense in the administration of our local government and its people. May God continue to illuminate your paths.
Akpugo General Assembly is happy to see that the contractor handling the rehabilitation of the Akpugo – Amagunze road has mobilized to site and that work has commenced on the road. This is a moment our people have prayed and wished for because of its huge benefits to us and other numerous users as the road links Ama
gunze, Ihuokpara, Akpawfu, Onicha Agu, and various towns in Ebonyi state. Being a gateway to many towns in Enugu and Ebonyi state speaks to the importance of this road and the heavy traffic of people and goods it carries on a daily basis. It also speaks to the need to ensure that the road is well done and that the contractor adheres to specifications as stipulated in the contract. The road needs well fortified drainages on the two sides and the right gauge of asphalt if it is meant to last. We therefore appeal to our representatives at various levels of government to keep a close eye on the work so that the efforts of our God-given governor will not be a waste.
Akpugo General Assembly will not hesitate to draw the attention of His Excellency to any attempt to shortchange the people in this regard. We, therefore, call on anyone who observes any attempt to deviate from the contract terms or do any low or bad quality job to please report to us. We promise to escalate it as soon as the report is confirmed to be true.
We, once again, thank God for using His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi to perfect the construction of the road and other dividends of his leadership that will come to our people. May God continue to guide and guard Your Excellency as we pledge our people s cooperation to the successful completion of the project and unalloyed support to the government of Enugu state.
