The governor of Enugu state and leader of the peoples democratic party (PDP) in the southeast zone and chairman, southeast governor’s forum, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (GburuGburu) Dunu 1 of Orba, should be applauded for his uncommon accommodating spirit, peace, tolerance and national character, that he has deployed into governance of Enugu state, since assumption into office in 2015. Thereby, giving all and sundry the equal right and privileges to express public opinion in matters arising. Including the political actors, who were vehemently seen opposing the principle and directives of the state executive orders as an authority.
However, one would recall that the governor has for the past 5years, allowed individual interest to counts in the political space of our dear state, whereby such interest has been largely dividing and causing some rifts in the state amongst its citizenry over some individuals quest to cause tension and an uneasy to the polity. This is quite unbecoming and this right and privileges accorded to these individuals be reviewed by His Excellency, through an administrative directives and policy formations, to curtail the excessive nature of these persons.
Its very alarming that some of these men, now sees themselves as the de facto leadership of the state, even when they do not have such powers as assumed by their political spectators and praise singers, or better described, as the allelujha boys who has refused to grown to men status, to muster courage for their self liberation from the political dominance and economic control of the said individuals.
Therefore, it become very imperative, that His Excellency the governor, should places this people on a security watch and urgently review the privileges his administration has accorded to them and their cohorts. There must not be two directives in the governance of the state, apart from the one the White lion dictates for the political and economic advantages and advancement of the state.
Meanwhile, let all these unnecessary Siren escorts from the political mischief be addressed by the state authority henceforth, because it looks as if there are other channel of directives filtering into the state because, the governor has continue to allow those interests to exist without any undue executive interference.
But its time to call it to order. No one exercises the powers he or she does not have, no matter any disguise. It has just been a state privilege for these people, which they had taken for granted by flexing muscles with the chief executive officer of the state.
The right thing must be done, and these opportunities be taken back by the state.
