It is verily unkind that most writers loose grip while profiling certain individuals, especially those ones with high networth values. These writers tend to focus their basis more on nothing other than the social status of their subject; And hence, unconsciously, undermine the focal and integral values that make up such individual.

A lot has been written about Governor IfeanyiChukwu Ugwuanyi on the mainstream media; ofcourse, as it should be for an excellent performing Governor. He has surfaced severaly on account of his developmental strides, uncommon leadership capacity and other reports.

It is on record that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration has opened up several rural communities and villages through construction of about 302 accessible kilometers rural roads in Enugu State. His Government has recruited and engaged about 5000 teachers to compliment the infrastructural transformation on the primary and post-primary education in Enugu State. The agric sector, health , security, to mention but a few, are given massive boost through prompt delivering of public goods and strategic administrative ability. These and more are note worthy, and I thank those who have lend their voice in commending the efforts of our dear Governor.

Be that as it may look, I may extend to reveal, after closer observations, that there is a truer Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi when we make a case for him as an ordinary person. A cursory study of his person presents him as one of the rarest breeds with high sense of great virtues; his endearing and humble sense of charity speaks great volume of not only his kind nature but also his strong passion for humanity. I will rather put it this way, Gburu is an uncommon philanthropist, a cheerful giver. Those who knew him in his earlier days while he was at the Insurance Company, would tell a better story.

He is very concerned with reducing the suffering and improving the conditions of people around him. This is evidenced in his policy and sincere welfare to the people of Enugu State. It only takes a leader who has keen interest of his citizen’s wellbeing to consider the followings;
-Enhancement of civil servant’s welfare
-Among the first to implement the new minimum wage in Nigeria
-Regular payment of worker’s salaries on the 23rd of every month
-Payment of the 13th month salary to workers as Christmas bonus
-Payment of 54 percent equity contribution for 100 lucky civil servants who won the 100 units one bedroom apartment at Elim Estate, Enugu through open lottery.
-Empowered 3600 traders with N50, 000 each under the Enugu State Traders Empowerment Scheme
-Empowered 750 Youths in skills aquisation under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Program
-Offered scholarship to 680 indigent engineering students of Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, Ezeagu LGA and IMT, Enugu.
-Awarded international scholarship to 22 post-secondary indigent students presently studying at Mewar University, India.
-Granted Bursary allowance to 246 students of the state at the Nigerian Law School
-Waived the payment of Personal Income Tax as well as Market Tax, for all traders in the major of the State, since the inception of the administration, in May 2015, with a recent resolve to sustain the pro-poor policies till the end of the tenure.
-Payment hospital bills for indigent patients during his occasionally hospital visitation.

The forgoing stands to portray Governor Ugwuanyi’s large heart and seamless sense of humanity embedded in an inclusive governance. I may also extend to argue that the secrets of his successful pathways are, likely, direct justification of this part of him, the giving part. Little wonder there is a saying’ blessed is the hand that giveth”.

Godbless Gburugburu!
