The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday noted that he is for peace not war.

The IPOB leader in a post on his Twitter account noted that the actualization of Biafra would be done without violence.

Kanu further stated that the creation of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, is to ensure self-defense and not to cause violence.

He added that his of actualizing Biafra would be achieved “sooner or later.”

“Let these be clear: I come in peace, not war. #IPOB is committed to non-violence, but will never be cowardly. #ESN is about self-defense, not offense. My abiding mission is to restore #Biafra peacefully but if you want war, you will surely get it, sooner than later. THANK YOU.”

He also accused President Muhammadu Buhari of supporting what he described as “irredentist Fulani elements.”

“What is happening in Nigeria today is pure necolonization by irredentist Fulani elements, aided and abetted by @NGRPresident and @HQNigerianArmy. They will succeed if the South and the indigenous people of the North don’t unite to stop them. Separation is the only way to stop them,” he added.

In a related development, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has revealed why a self-acclaimed Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho Adeyemo, and others are calling for a Yoruba nation.

Bibian Anekwe News reports that Sunday Igboho had last week declared the Yoruba as a separate nation and demanded the secession of the south-west states from Nigeria.
