Dr Martin Luther King Jnr said that “we must learn to live togerther as brothers or perish together as fools”.
A state that suffers from civil unrest and or youth restiveness is bound to remain underdeveloped, devastated and desolated. Such state will not be able to stand firm in the comity of states and no meaningful development will ever take place there. Such a state will not attract foreign investment due to fear of insecurity in such state.
Since the return of democracy in Nigeria in 1999, things has not been this bad as we are experiencing them today. Almost every part of Nigeria is faced with serious security challenges following the activities of hoodlums and bandits thereby creating panic among the people. *Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi* through his uncommon leadership style has tamed the activities of hoodlums that could create such fears among the people of Enugu.
*Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi* unlike his counterparts who squander common wealth of their states, plant seeds of discord among the people by using religion, political and ethnic biases to poison the minds of the people, rather uses the wealth of Enugu state to help the people and enhance development. He has preached and encouraged religious tolerance among Enugu dwellers, through his acceptance and love for every Enugu dwellers not minding the ethnic and political affiliation. He ensured that the good people of Enugu live in love and peace amongst one another.
*Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi came into the state when Ndi Enugu needed people of his kind. As a lover of youth, *The White Lion* created quality education and empowerment programmes where the youths has been engaged meaningfully and purposefully. This has prevented them from getting involved in any form of social vices and civil unrest that emanate from unemployment and idleness. He has through his personal contributions helped a lot of people in terms of scholarships, job opportunities, youths and women empowerment, created a state free from youth retiveness and enabling environment for everybody to thrive hence curbing insecurity of any kind.
*Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has in various ways assisted the security agencies in the state to commit to their duties responsibly by providing financial and moral support which has boosted their morales to a greater extent.
Truely, Enugu is in the hands of God.
