What are the characteristics of a good leader? What are those performance indices that can truly identify a true and a good leader? How can we determine if our current and potential leaders have the qualities to faithfully assume great leadership? These are germain questions that clearly agitates the mind. It is instructive to note that God Almighty who rules in the affairs of men has from the beginning of the world inspired mankind with practical knowledge of what leadership is all about. Our Lord Jesus Christ was roundly applauded as a Messiah who took it upon himself to salvage mankind from many afflictions. Because, we are created in God’s image and likeness, we are bound to share in His Omniscience characteristics. Therefore, Messianic qualities are often attributed to such individuals who in deed and character have followed in the footsteps of the Omnipotent Messiah.
Objective Analysts have over time commended and lauded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his above average performance in the governance of the coal city state. Perhaps, the indoctrination of Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as a good Christian and follower of Jesus Christ would have given him the right dispositions and wisdom to discern things and take right decision. And since God is one perfect example of a great leader, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is justified in placing the affairs of Enugu in God’s hands so he can continually draw inspiration and learn great lessons of leadership from His words and teachings.
Governor Ugwuanyi is not only an excellent performer but a humble servant leader. The Book of Luke 22:26 puts it this way – Good leaders are humble servants… “Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.
Proverbs 16:12 was emphatic about the qualities of a good leader and asserts that one do not tolerate wrongdoings.
“… It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness”.
Good leaders are honest and open and make rules that people will be glad to follow. Governor Ugwuanyi has been very exceptional with this injunctions, “… Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.” – Psalm 119:35
Good leaders protect their people. Psalm 139:10 (KJV) says… Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”
Enugu State is unarguably one of the safest states in the country today courtesy of Ugwuanyi’s uncommon commitment to the issues of security and safety of Ndi Enugu.
Gov. Ugwuanyi has scored above the average to emerge as modern day messiah in governance through his diligent interventions in socio-cultural, political and economic development of Enugu State. He is everything rolled into one, he is compassionate, adroit, knowledgeable about issues of government and politics, and above all peaceful and Godly. He is hardworking, courageous and visionary. Ugwuanyi have the will to serve and not greedy for money or acquisition of needless wealth for generations yet unborn.
Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a real and good role model. As a passionate leader, he lives for every single soul of Ndi Enugu.
Apparently, great and passionate leaders are hard to find these days. It’s difficult or even near impossible to find a human leader who has all the qualities listed above. Ugwuanyi unarguably has become a true gift from God as attested to by numerous well meaning individuals from within and without the state.
Enugu state is truly in the hands of God.
