Appreciation from different communities, interest groups, individuals and corporate bodies have continued unabated on His Excellency, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu ), the Executive governor of Enugu state for his good deeds and developmental strides across the state.
People of Igudu Community in Udenu Local government area of Enugu state joined the host of good people of Enugu state to thank and appreciate Governor Ugwuanyi led administration for remembering their community in line with the administration’s rural development agenda. The Igudu community gave this commendation during the commissioning of a 6.110km asphalted rural road with drainage system constructed in the area under the RAMP 2/Enugu state government joint project.
It was same praise galore when Obukpa community in Nsukka LGA also appreciated Governor Ugwuanyi’s untiring zeal and steadfastness in transforming Enugu state with limited resources especially in the rural areas. They thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for his inclusive and people-oriented governance and for renovating many dilapidated buildings and structures in most primary and secondary schools in Obukpa and Enugu state in general.
Akpugoeze community in Oji River LGA could not hide their feelings while appreciating the workaholic Governor for his enduring commitment to the yearnings of ndi Akpugoeze. They eulogized the Governor for constructing the Akpugoeze-Mamu forest road which was left unattended to by successive administrations in the state. They were visibly happy while recalling the stress they all go through while commuting to Inyi town especially during the rainy season which Ugwuanyi led administration was able to help remedy the situation. They prayed for God’s continual blessings on the governor.
It is important at this juncture to emphasize that through the far reaching policies of Ugwuanyi’s led administration to embark on a massive rural urban renewal, virtually all the rural communities in Enugu state has benefited from the iconic and benevolent services of Mr. Fulfilment, our Governor. The situation was similar in Ogbaku and Ituku communities in Awgu local government area. And so, it was their turn to appreciate our able governor for making good his promise to transform the rural communities for which they have become beneficiaries.
Other communities who benefited from the uncommon rural transformation agenda of governor Ugwuanyi include Ngwo community in Udi local government area where the old New market-Milliken hill-9th Mile road rehabilitation, 9th mile by-pass, Uno Okuko-Ekeodudo-Okpokolo-Ameke-Ama junction road construction speak volumes of Ugwuanyi’s developmental trajectories.
Ogonogoeji-Ndiagu Akpugo , Amuri people of Nkanu, Iva-Valley, Nike-Emene people, Eha-Amufu, Mbu-Amon of Isi-Uzo have since joined the league of other communities where Ugwuanyi’s midas touch bore eloquent testimonies.
Just recently on 1st May 2021 at Okpara square Enugu, workers of Enugu state appreciated Governor Ugwuanyi for his unequalled resilience in the payment of the approved New #30,000 minimum wage and its consequential adjustment to state workers. They also appreciated the Governor for sustainance of payment of salaries on or before 23rd of every month and other welfare packages. They equally appreciated him for the ongoing construction of two ultra-modern secretariat buildings in Enugu for the NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS (NLC) and TRADE UNION CONGRESS (TUC) Enugu state chapters. They described Ugwuanyi as the most labour friendly governor in Nigeria.
Appreciation also continued to rain on the governor from Lovers of Enugu Rangers International football Club of Enugu. It was their time to thank Governor Ugwuanyi for resuscitating the club’s spirit and returned it to its winning ways within one year of his administration. They also appreciated Ugwuanyi for repositioning Rangers and gave maximum support to the club which enabled it to win 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and the 2018 NFF/AITEO Federation cup after 32 years of trophy draughts.
Ugwuanyi also received appreciation from the NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHT COMMISSION (NHRC) for carrying out human right’s friendly programmes in Enugu state.
Finally, an Enugu state house of Assembly member representing Uzo-Uwani state constituency , from Nkume community, Hon Dr Josephat Okika (PhD) appreciated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for remembering Nkume community, that had never produced any personality politically since the creation of the earth except a councillor in 2011, and he also thanked the Governor for standing by him while he was on medical leave and ensured he returned hale and hearty. He appreciated Governor Ugwuanyi because the Governor saved his life and made him to be alive in the land of living today.
Ugwuanyi truly deserved these litany of appreciation and much more. May God perfect everything which concerns him. May his golden heart continue to be enriched forever and ever in Jesus name, Amen.
