Professor Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana has been elected the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Akufo-Addo emerged as the new leader of the regional body at the ongoing 57th ECOWAS Summit being held in Niamey, capital of Niger.
