Now that “Ife Emelumma” has gone with it’s reckoning, what next?
Ife Emelumma, a decisive rally of the people of Enugu West Senatorial Zone has come and gone. It was more than successful. It was fun too, watching a sea of people courageously matching up and down the Secretariate chanting and demonstrating their affection and loyalty to the people’s governor. Ife Emelumma is one of those peebles that unfazed little David skillfully slit in his sling that sent the bragging Philistine giant, Goliath to the underworld.

Whenever a page deposing annals of Enugu State makes, omission of the breakthrough of enforcing general tranquility and unity amongst the three Senatorial Zone, by His Excellency Ugwuanyi , such ataxia may be dissected on the surgical table of analysis as omission. Any such omission offends natural justice, equity and fairness of report and definitely would render the page inadequate.

Governor Ugwuanyi is a miracle of rare occurrence. The three Senatorial rallies in his name, ranging from the Enugu North, Enugu East and now Enugu West rally proved more than what we expected. It was an avenue for the people to appreciate the governor for his sterling leadership, engendering peace and security even as other states of the federation wallow in insecurity. Together, the people of Enugu unanimously reassured the working governor of their discipleship while he lasted as their doting shepherd.

The beauty of democracy is that it remains a government of steady discuss and robust engagement of leaders and the led. Under democratic political atmosphere, everyone is at liberty to dream big and tall. Definitely, Napoleon Hills rightly said that ” Whatever the mind of a man can imagine and believe, he can achieve”
Incontesably, Napoleon was in the right frame when he spat the probable truth of reality. Yet, a qualifications besides. This dream as advised by many should be streamlined if not tailored towards an prevailing norms of a particular society for better cohesion.

However, at times, dreams are stretched to a point of absurdity which evokes righteous odium of the people. In the province of law, every general rule admits far reaching exceptions which do in most occasions erode substantially the life of the general rule. It’s the gross negligence and inability on the part of poor Joseph, the 11th child of Jacob, to sufficiently appreciate natural and conventional rules of ascendancy and respect for elders that sent him packing from his father’s home down to a foreign abode.
The young lad, knew Reuben was the first issue of their father precipitating to other ten, but he chose to embark on a dream frolic and could not stomach the dream’s obscurities . Bereft of the knowledge that televising such a travesty of dream before his people ment setting himself up for the gallows, he unleashed them, strenuously analyzing the dream circumstances to his favour and to the disfavour of his elders, including Jacob himself.
The rule is simple, let us continue in the pathway that has proved wide acceptability and efficient too. That is the a strong traditional exclusionary rule to vaunted constitutional precepts of grabbing power. Power rotation for one, is the tested devise for giving others who for years suffocated themselves at fringe corners in the scheme of things a sense of belongingness. The corollary is oneness, equal development, fraternity and other goodies associated with principles of level playing ground for all and sundry.

Perhaps, Ife Emelumma rally, would tour for years as a history of its own, where the creme de la creme of Enugu West Senatorial Zone emptied into the zone’s Secretariate with unwavering chorus for Gburugburu. The rhythmical nature of their prayers which they emphatically nursed believe that only Ugwuanyi can grant, brain teases the mind. Consider of the literate style of directing the governor’s gaze of choice of successor as painted by the convener of the mother rally.

What of the Enugu Di N’akachukwu Movement, undauntedly matching East and West with innumerable tree of flyers bearing the image of the smiling governor Ugwuanyi, men and women, young and old, hale and fragile all stood for Gburugburu and what he represents. The most reputable soldierly DG of Enugu Di N’akachukwu Movement, Hon. Mrs Bibian Anekwe SSA to the Governor of Enugu State on Mobilization and Empowerment, was at her best in doing what she knows best. Her credo echoing age to age rings true for the movement solidarity and acceptance of Ugwuanyi’s product of discretion.

Now that Ife Emelumma has recorded her success story and gone, the next job is a call out to all, to put every hands on the deck to support the social, economic and educational works of Ugwuanyi. Since Ndi Enugu have tapped into the window of these moss gathering rallies in one voice for Ugwuanyi, let the sleeping dogs lie. It’s high time, media mischief makers against the people’s governor ate the humble pie.

Enugu State is in the hands of God!
