A consummate leader is also a critical thinker of sort. Nothing properly situates an examplary and a passionate leader in a class of his or her own than one who have continued to think out of the box not only to add value to their environment but to improve on what they met in their environment. They are typically referred to as type 4 individuals. We must agree that Ugwuanyi belongs to this category of type 4 leaders or influencers. Many attempts have been made in the past to justify this conferment on Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu state. Further attempt will also be made here to tag Ugwuanyi in the league of 21st century leaders who are making marks with their position in their environment and in an excellent way.
Having established the blueprints of his government agenda, Gov. Ugwuanyi set out to articulate tactics and strategies to realize these objectives. One of the core areas which Ugwuanyi considered very critical and rightly so is in the area of provision of affordable shelters for wide categories of Ndi Enugu built smartly to taste. Another important step taken in the realization of this important agenda is to source for energetic, knowledge driven and intelligent personae who would bring his or her humongous expertise to bear in facilitating the construction of mega and smart cities within Enugu and environs. Call it a city within a city and you would have hit it on the head. Today, as the wheel of governor Ugwuanyi led administration glides to the admiration of Ndi Enugu, not fewer than 3 of such smart Cities aside other numerous Housing estates have sprung up in different locations within Enugu metropolis courtesy of an energetic, intelligent and renowned civil Engineer, Ferdinand Chukwuemelie Agu, the Managing Director, Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC).
Just smarting from the commissioning of the last smart city (the WTC Estate) located within the precincts of the metropolis by Gov. Ugwuanyi penultimate week, another beautiful mega Estate have sprang up. It is called CIDATEL ESTATE PHASE 2, billed to consolidate on the housing for all objectives of the state government. CIDATEL Estate is tastefully finished and located around the precincts of Independence Layout, Queens College, Enugu campus of the University of Nigeria and IMT. Another bold statement from the governor and his crew of technocrats. The CIDATEL Estate Phase 2 is designed to accommodate a total of 222 houses and about 1,344 persons when fully occupied and in a serene environment that promises ultimate tranquility from the maddening city life.
As a modern smart city, the CIDATEL Phs. 2 has well asphalted network of roads, well numbered houses, security network and state of the art infrastructural facilities. Ladies and gentlemen, can we continue to give a standing ovation to this passionate and a workaholic leader who have remained confident and consistent in the delivery of democracy dividends to the people despite global biting economic challenges.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have continued to assure the people of the state, that his government remains unshaken and will be committed to taking development to the people come what may be. We thank God for the gift of Ugwuanyi to the people of Enugu State and continue to pray that his type shall come our way post 2023. In God we trust. Enugu will forever remain in the hands of God.
