2 IPOB Members Killed, Many Injured As Nigeria Security Forces Invade IPOB Gathering
Two Persons have been confirmed dead, many injured and dozens arrested as Nigeria Security Forces invaded a gathering of the Indigenous People of Biafra in Enugu state and opened fire on the activists.
A combined team of Department of State Security Service, Nigerian Army, Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), and Mobile Police Force invaded the meeting ground of IPOB activists at Emene in Enugu state, shooting sporadically. Dozens were severely injured during the raid by Nigeria security forces.
An attempt by some of theĀ IPOB activists to prevent the abduction of their colleagues was futile, as the Nigerian security forces reinforced more of there men with sophisticated machine guns, armored vehicle and countless number of fully loaded hilux vans. They began to disrupt the peace of the people in Eneme, as they opened fire on innocent people and destroyed many properties. The security agents also wrecked havoc on various Churches whose normal Sunday services are still in progress.
Currently, the Nigeria security forces are going from house to house, intimidating people, asking them the whereabouts of IPOB activists. More than 5 activists have been whisked away by security agents despite sustaining various level of bullet injuries.
