It is said that no man sees himself as much as those looking at him; that is to say that man can only be mirrored by his neighbours and cohabitants of a particular society. In the same vein, we ought not to be reminded that it takes a grave depth of objectivism to review, understand and assign legitimacy, status and the level of acceptability of a government by the governed. With regards to the preceding submission, the level of endorsement being enjoyed by the Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi led ENUGU STATE speaks volume of his transcending impacts across the length and breadth of the Coal City state. The recent approbation of Ugwuanyi’s administration by the Christian Association of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter goes a long way to rationalise our stance.
The recently inaugurated Enugu State leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria while on a brief and maiden visit to the Governor of ENUGU State deemed it worthy to applaud the governor for his consistency in ensuring that security, peace and harmony pervades the atmosphere of the state. They showered loads of commendation on the leadership machinery driven by Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The body which is now under the direction of Rev. Emmanuel Edeh admitted that the governor has actually demonstrated that Enugu State is truly in Hands of God by according maximum respect to the churches without discrimination, at the same time treating every religious faith with utmost regards and dignity. Rev. Edeh further confirmed that “Enugu State is one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria” and promised that the body would continue to sustain their”… peaceful relationship” with the government of Enugu State especially now that the governor is a”peace loving” leader.
The Christian body also promised to improve their partnership with the leadership of Gburu Gburu in order to ensure that Enugu State keep moving forward. The body didn’t fail to remember how the former CAN chairman; Rt. Rev. Christian C, Obiefuna was hosted and honoured by Ugwuanyi during the former’s retirement and assured the governor that they won’t forget him in prayers and will never hesitate to make their contribution when necessary to oil the wheel of development in the state.
Other new leaders of the umbrella body of Christians that graced the occasion are; Bishop Dr. Ernest Obodo,Vice Chairman( CSN BLOC), Pastor, Barr. Onuora Okeke, Secretary (OAIC BLOC), Ven. Jonathan Agbo, Assistant Secretary (CCN BLOC), and Pastor Peter Ibeh, Treasurer(CPFN/ECWA BLOC.)
Appointed Directors of the Christian body include Bishop. Dr.Joseph Ajujungwa (CPFN/PFN BLOC), Barr. Ezinwa Ogugua (CSN BLOC), Elder SBN Anigbo (TEKAN/ECWA BLOC), Special Senior, Apostle Elijah Ogbe (OAIC BLOC), and Pastor John Ogbodo (CCN BLOC.)
