Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari for asking Nigerians to be fair to him in their criticism on his leadership.
President Buhari in a statement earlier said his administration is doing its best to fulfill promises it made to Nigerians. The president, however, pleaded with Nigerians to be fair to him in their judgement on his achievement so far.
Reacting to Buhari’s statement, Ezekwesili took to her Twitter account to ask the president to also cut some slack on his unwillingness to lead the country well.
She tweeted:
“I overhead one the news that the President @MBuhari asked citizens to cut him a slack in their criticism of the failures of his leadership and governance.”
“Wonderful, NGRPresident, we the citizens are asking you to please cut a swift slack in your unwillingness to lead well.”
