To mark the International day of Peace, two youngsters who incidentally are siblings, Chiamaka Treasure and Desire Chidiebere Nweke, unleashed their great talent as they unveiled fine pieces of poem which they put together in honour of the governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. According to the children, the governor deserved to be so honoured for everything he had done to ensure there is peace in the state.
The siblings were emphatic in their conviction that a day such as the International Peace Day, set aside to promote peace globally should equally be utilized to celebrate a peacemaker like Governor Ugwuanyi, well known for his peaceful dispositions and the many bridges of peace he had built, deserved to be recognized and commended for his efforts.
While Chiamaka Treasure titled her piece Apostle of Peace, her younger brother captioned his Our Own Dove of Peace.
The Governor is being celebrated by the intelligent youngsters for bringing to bear an uncommon peace in the state, using beautiful and highly evocative metaphors to complete the pictures of their man of peace, on the day the world took a quiet pause for peace.

PEACE is a priceless treasure
A venture only a few embark on
Like a skillful paddler upon the billows and torrents of the sea
You have sailed on the turbulence of our nation
Through the hidden paths of stillness
Because PEACE lies within you
Just like the deer desires the brook
You have pursued after PEACE
Defying the uneasiness that comes with such a voyage
The white doves hover above our dear Enugu state-
You have made PEACE with others-
Enemies are now turned friends-
Showing how largely Enugu state occupies your heart
You have made PEACE a permanent resident in the state
Something that never existed before now
The state is a wonderful destination for all

The above piece aptly sums up what governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi of Enugu State truly represents. An embodiment of peace has been trending in the last one week for the same recognition as the most peaceful man in the year, 2021 from far away capital of Turkey in Istanbul.
