The history of a hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles…….
Freeman and slaves , patricians and plebeians, lord and serf, guild master and journeyman, in a world oppressors and the oppressed stood in constant opposition to one another carried on an uninterrupted , now hidden , now open fight , that each time ended, eighter in the revolutionary or reconstitution of society at large or in common ruin of the contending class.
Guilty is not a response to anger , it is a response to one own action. If the leads to change then it can be useful, since it then no longer guilt but the beginning of knowledge. Yet all too often , guilty is just another name for impotency , for defensiveness destructive communication.
The issue in Enugu state today is because few thoughts they have the greatness to bend history, agreement and rules itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and beliefs that human history is shaped.
Each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice, he send forth a tiny ripple of hope , and crossing each other from a million different centre of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest wall of oppression and resistance…..
Finally to buttress my point, in Enugu state today, I have learnt that the saddest lessons of history is this: If we have been bamboozled long enough (Enugu West precisely)we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We are no longer interested in finding out the truth .
The bamboozle has captured us , it is too painful to acknowledge , even to ourselves, that we have be taken .
Lastly : once you give a charlatan power over you, you will almost never get it back….
But we are watching with keen interest, and will not fail to hesitate to act when the agreement of zoning is been try to be tampers, even to the extend of redressing it in any form.
