An Enugu based political activist and Director General of Enugu Di N’akachukwu Movement, Mrs Bibian Anekwe, has warned against the destabilizing effect of anti-zoning sentiments being propelled by some politicians in Enugu West Senatorial Zone of the state.
Mrs Anakwe while speaking on the backdrop of repeated media campaigns targeted at abolishing the already existing zoning formula in the state, warned those behind such campaigns to retrace their steps.
According to her, “the gang up sparked off by media hype in Enugu West Senatorial Zone against Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s administration is becoming unbearable with their intention to abolish 1999 Enugu zoning arrangement”.
She pleaded with top politicians in the zone to stop all media campaigns whish could sabotage, distract and destabilize the administration of Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
“Enugu west senatorial zone should wait till 2031 for governorship. Let us support Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’ administration and never allow ourselves be used to destabilize the peace and tranquility enjoyed in the state”.
