It is no longer news that Nigeria is facing a lot of security challenges which has plagued the entire nation, citizens and foreigners who are resident in Nigeria alike. The gale of insecurity like a macabre dance have prowled everywhere with no end in sight owing to the less than spineful efforts of the government to tackle the menace on the one hand and its less than courageous political will to halt the ill dance. It is important to note and to appreciate what is often touted as security being everybody’s business, some people have resorted to self help, while others engaged in spiritual help to seek protection from the unfortunate situation in the land.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have remained unarguably a contemporary leader who devised the tactics of political harmony to entrench peace and enhance peace and security of lives and property of the people in Enugu State. His popular admonitions at every fora on the need for people to stay the course of peace might have done great magic to the physique of the people. Taking the giant cloak cover of the Almighty God on the people into consideration, Enugu State has remained comparatively peaceful and secure under the watch of the peace conscious leader, Rt. Honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
It is on record that governor Ugwuanyi has consciously put in place machineries for stemming the tide of multifaceted crime incidences in Enugu State, through the establishment of forest guards, community vigilante groups, commissioning of special police constabularies. All these efforts were geared towards making Enugu State a peace heaven. Today, to the glory of the same God, whom our Governor handed the affairs of the state in His wonderful care, Enugu State is 98% better than it’s neighbors as far as security matters are considered because Ugwuanyi has worked for it and yet showing no sign of slowing one bit. But how could he? Ugwuanyi remains a shepherd who never go to sleep, while his flocks are rummaging in the field. Enugu state residents sleep with all eyes closed because a Man Who Love His People is no longer sleeping. Enugu has a capacity leader who leads from the Frontline. What an extraordinary leader!
Enugu State is truly in the hands of God and for ever!
