Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on assumption of office in 2015 promised to build a new State free of political huffishness but one full of development in every sector.
In the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, most leaders of states saw a good reason to renege on their campaign promises, hence refusing to embark in any infrastructural development in their state. In coal city state, it is a total difference as Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who never gets tired of giving his people good governance steadily keeping to his promises of a better Enugu State.
However, the workerholic governor embarked on massive infrastructural projects across the state despite the lean resources in his disposal and the challenges of the global pandemic commissioning projects and building new ones. His ideal nature remains that there is no excuse in rendering genuine services to his people. Governor Ugwuanyi remain a force to reckon when it comes to delivery dividend of democracy to his people.:
Governor Ugwuanyi being a dedicated Christian, built a Christian chapel of worships in the State’s government House being first of it’s kind since the history of the state.
The International Conference Centre, Enugu is wearing a new look at present which was started and abandoned by former administrations in the State. His nature of politics of inclusiveness led “Mr Fulfilment”, Rt Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi into completing the project.
Shall we talk of ongoing modernization and upgrading of Nsukka into Urban settlement with the ongoing reconstruction of Nsukka Township Stadium and numerous of other development projects in the zone.
The construction of the 14-Bay Bailey bridge of Nyama River, linking Umuogo-Umuagba Amechi communities is another credit to his Excellency. This made the one time governor of old Anambra state and former senator of the federation of Nigeria Sen. Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo to acknowledge the good work of Gburugburu in Enugu State. In his acknowledgement to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, he stated “that the governor wiped away his tears”.
He also stated that “Since 1999, I have never stayed more than two weeks in Enugu, but since Ugwuanyi came in, all that changed; as I have been in Enugu for the past six months because of the peace he has brought in the State”.
It is crystal clear that the people of Amaechi and entire people of Enugu East senatorial zone has been praying for such miracle to come their way; hence,
the people’s governor constructed 13km Nike Lake junction. A road that links Harmony Estate to Amorji Nike to Adoration Center, through Emene market road. This is another infrastructural projects that louds Ugwuanyi’s name as Mr Project. This roads projects is already creating a new job opportunities to teeming youths as well as artisans.
Gburugburu, saw the stress people go through on traffics, introspectively, he decided to construct new Flyovers at some strategic areas in the State to reduce traffic congestion as well as some traffic hazards especially during rush-hours as captured in his 2021 budget of Hope Recovery.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who promised to take his development strides down to rural areas gave out 10m naira each to all the 471 autonomous communities in the state. His commitment is to ensure that capital projects cut across all the communities in the State according to Need Assessment.
Obviously, the people of Enugu State could not ask for more as what they desired is to have a governor with a christ-like heart who harkens to the cries of his people. Even the deafs hears about Governor Ugwuanyi’s unprecedented good works; the blinds sees them and even the dumps speaks and testify about them
A collective support to Gburugburu and Ebeano movement, remains a support to a better tomorrow for the youths and entire Enugu State.
Enugu State is truly in the mighty hands of God
