Four men have been apprehended by the police for allegedly setting Obasanjo’s farm on fire.
The arrest is coming days after the suspects set fire on the 2,420 hectares of farmland located in Benue State.

Recall that Bibian Anekwe News earlier reported that the former president’s farm was set ablaze and he had condemned the incident through his spokesman, Kehinde Akinyemi.
The authorities in the state had promised to bring the suspects to book and make sure justice is served.

“It is discovered that the fire was an act of sabotage, the perpetrators must be brought to book,” Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State was quoted as saying in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur.
Meanwhile, a presidential media aide, Bashir Ahmad on Friday evening, said he is satisfied and impressed with the way the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is playing politics.

Ahmad in a post on his micro-blogging page, Twitter said despite being the ruling party, the APC still has the momentum and energy to do more.

He added that the party takes grassroots politics seriously because it understands politics is beyond what happens on social media.
