In affirmation of the premium placed on Rural Healthcare by the Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration, the Mayor of Igbo-Etiti, Hon. Barr. Mrs Nkechi Ugwu-Oju has joined efforts with the GburusCare Initiative to extend the Free Medical and healthcare services to aged people in all the development centers of the local Government Area.
The program started officially on Saturday 31st July at Nkwo Ozalla, Igbo-Etiti Local Government. The outreach enjoyed massive turnout of participants from all over the Igbo-Etiti North Development center comprising Ozalla, Ekwegbe, Ohodo and Ukopi.
The GburusCare Outreach system comprising Vital signs check, Laboratory diagnosis, Physiotherapy, Dental care Medical consultation, counseling and drug prescription, Drug dispensary remains structured to serve the health needs of all participants and the people of Igbo-Etiti North were not left out.
Speaking on behalf of the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr. Mrs Nkechi Ugwu-Oju, Mr. Chukwuemeka Okwesi, Head of Department (HOD) Health Igbo-Etiti L.G.A said, “Today, our people are filled with excitement and gratitude for receiving the Special Health Team of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (the GburusCare Initiative) who have commenced treatment on the people of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, especially the elderly. According to him administration of Hon. Barr. Nkechi Ugwu Oju has continued to align all efforts to the visions of our loving Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
