A lot might have been said or written on the aforestated subject and rightly too, but it is important to enthuse that no amount of writing or conversation regarding the trajectories recorded in driving the human capacity dynamics of Ndi Enugu would ever be sufficient. For one, governor Ugwuanyi in his characteristics vision to position Enugu State as an economic and business hub has shown more than enough commitment in this regard. By sourcing a young competent Technocrat in the person of Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah who has continued to churn out one life changing policies after another to fulfill the state government objectives, Ndi Enugu would never have enough of this conversation.
Through the visionary leadership of Rt.Hon.Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the narrative of Ndi Enugu is changing for the better and would ultimately turn into best because there is an exceptional driver with a good vehicle. Today, what the visionary leader of Enugu State is projecting through the Enugu SME Centre is certainly beyond wonders and therefore, I feel obliged to contribute to the conversation.
I would love to honestly admit Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah has proven that he is competent and completely enjoys the confidence of the Governor who appointed him. It is truly heart warming that Chilo-Offiah has been able to transform Gburu Gburu’s economic and skills development and diversification programs to an enviable height. The massive sensitization exercise to teach the people the metrics and other necessary information they need to know about the SME and how it can be beneficial both in the short and long term cannot be discountenanced. Hon. Chilo-Offiah must obviously be having sleepless nights to ensure the realization of governor Ugwuanyi led administration’s objectives to place Enugu state on the world map as far as man power development that will drive economic growth of the state is concerned. Today, nearly all the students in important institutions of learning as well as people in the local governments Councils have received this message of skill acquisition and development.
An average Igbo man is reputed to be as enterprising in nature and therefore it would take little stress to harness the entrepreneurial skills of the people. It is therefore important to stress that the Enugu SME hub center has been both programed and designed to achieve this quick harness and redirect our trajectories to a sustainable economic development and ultimate growth.
As a take-home from the tour recently hosted by the Executive Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Alex Ugwu(Ekwueme), the program is designed to provide free training and seminars, including free CAC registration and access to soft loans, grants and other incentives that would facilitate the success of small and medium businesses in the state. No sound mind would need further clarification to understand the effects of such projects in socio-economic development.
At this point, it is no more a hard nut to crack to conclude that the leadership team of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi understands the implications of channelling the vitality, strength and passion of the good people of Enugu State in the right and productive directions.
Enugu state it appears has bought into this laudable initiative of the Gov and his team. The product of the policies of Ugwuanyi via the Enugu SME hub center would soon manifest in its true value and splendor. Governor Ugwuanyi has consequently caught another catch phrase as Mr. SME via the sterling performances of his SPA on SME, Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah. To God be the glory!
