It is often said that a man’s good deeds speaks for him. The good deeds of every living being no doubt goes beyond such an individual. Bad character could be likened to an inflated tyre. You surely go everywhere with it. Good deeds are virtues that defines a man or woman’s life and character. That governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi of Enugu State is a do ‘gooder’ in all ramifications cannot be overemphasized. His virtues as a Godly leader sticks as bees to its honeycomb.
Governor Ugwuanyi’s sterling performance in governance is resonating and would continue in that regard for many years to come. The youths of Enugu State would forever remember Gov. Ugwuanyi for who and what he represents in their lives journey. Governor Ugwuanyi has since realized that the youths as the basal bone of every society need to be inculcated in the scheme of socio-political, cultural and economic growth of the nation. Understanding this has in no small measure triggered such relationship existing between him on the one hand and the vast army of young men and women in the state. It is to the credit of the youth friendly governor that not quite a few youths are serving in various capacities in the socio-political arena and they are not disappointing in the least.
It is on record that Governor Ugwuanyi deliberately courted the youths when he declared at the commencement of his second term in office, that “it is youth o’clock” meaning that the youths would be given more opportunity to prove themselves through social mentoring and political engineering. Today, about 70% of the total men and women in Ugwuanyi led administration are made up of energetic young people, both indigenes and non indigenes.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have consciously created opportunities for the youths in other areas to stimulate employment on their behalf. For instance in May 2018, he inaugurated over 1000 youths to clean up the state under the Enugu Clean Team Project (ECTP), a project aimed at keeping with his administration’s vision and promise to create job opportunities, a cleaner and safer environment for the people of the state.
The youths of Enugu would never forget in a hurry the impactful leadership of the people oriented government of Governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi.
Enugu state is firmly in the hands of God. To God be the glory.
