It was Albert Einstein, the famous German-born theoretical physicist who avvered that the true definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results, while Henry Miller, the American novelist reminded all that “… confusion is a word we have invented for an order that is not yet understood”. Currently in Enugu State, the underlying grit defining the policies, projects and programs of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah underscores his unique and innovative approach to governance. Call it a refreshing paradigm shift and you will not be far from the truth.
The recent academic laurel bestowed on Governor Peter Mbah by the contemporary Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, England where he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation is an indication that he is truly equipped to navigate the field of modern leadership and management. It is therefore important to illuminate the immediate relevance of the governor’s latest academic milestone at the famed academic oasis, the Oxford University and the attendant values to his voyage into the Lion Building.
It is important also that Ndi Enugu should celebrate their new leader for this academic milestone, a man who as they say has been found worthy both in character and in learning in a discipline that is designed to furnish him with cutting-edge tools and techniques that would inadvertently oil the machinery of his government with relative ease and be able to navigate the state from undue economic conundrum. Education and academic excellence remains a panacea to the upliftment of the society in all ramifications. Governor Mbah understands this and would do everything to encourage educational development in the state which holds the key to raising the required human capital resources for societal development.
The people of Enugu State should be excited to learn that His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah is now more intellectually empowered and inclined to understand that in reality it’s unlikely that the challenges of tomorrow will be anything like those we face today and that in such a fast-paced and uncertain world, businesses and governance need to develop the strategic capacity to respond to unforeseen challenges as we were taught to understand that the Oxford Strategic Innovation Program approaches innovation as a tool for handling challenges that can’t yet be predicted and I am cocked confident that our sound governor has certainly learned to build systems that can adapt to unpredictable situations, making it a sustainable and routine practice within our Coal City and beyond.
In inference, in the face of the fast enveloping innovative embellishments associated with Governor Peter Mbah’s towering leadership journey, the people are expected to brace up in order to flow with the trends because even Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs understood that the highly innovative pace setting leaders are usually and initially misunderstood by majority of their followers and that’s why it becomes justifiable that Governor Peter Mbah’s proactive innovations could naturally be misunderstood as a break with the conservative ideals that defined our sluggish past, therefore, every sound mind observing Dr. Peter Mbah’s historic and strategic leadership is expected to adjust his excitement by balancing his or her emotional impact and sentiments, because, just suddenly, OUR TOMORROW IS FINALLY HERE.
