Today, 27th November 2020 is very significant in Nara Unataeze kingdom, as H.E, the governor of Enugu state pays last tribute to late HRH Helen Ogonwanyi Onwuta Ogbu- late mother of HRH Igwe Ifeanyi Ogbu. The foremost traditional ruler of Nara Unataeze ancient kingdom in Nkanu east local government area of the state. The governor in his magnanimity and uncommon stance in global leadership best practice stormed the palace of the late king for the final farewell of their matriarch who was today laid to rest.
Therefore, the people of the council area was agog to receive the governor and his entourage on the ground of the occasion, ably led by the executive chairman of Nkanu east local government, who also took His Excellency to project site to inspect some capital projects embarked by the council. Interestingly, Gov. Ugwuanyi was much excited to see the level of improved projects development in the council, instituted by the leadership of Hon. Prince Engr. Uchenna Nwobodo. Part of the ongoing projects inspected by the governor is the measured 500 meters long bridge that connects so many communities in Nara, Nume, Nkerefi and others.
Recall that Hon. Prince Engr. Uchenna Nwobodo was elected along the other 16 council chairmen in Enugu state on 29th of February, 2020 and was equally sworn into office on the March 2nd the same year. However, Engr Nwobodo has through his numerous projects at the council since assumption into office, distinguished himself amongst his colleagues with pro people advanced programmes and policies. This is to say that the chairman has made so much tremendous achievements in areas of capital projects, employments opportunities, human capital development and other sundry necessities local government can boast of. This is also remarkable to say that Engr. Nwobodo could achieve all these because the governor has prudently allows their control of the federal government monthly allocations that accrued to each respective local government, while some of the council chairmen sit on a defense with an ambiguous excuses to launder the treasury of their respective local government with their colonies without much political dividend to show for.
Meanwhile, Nkanu east local government of Enugu today under Engr. Uchenna Nwobodo, as clear case study, in the other contemporary underdeveloped local governments in the state. No wonder all the councilors, the political appointees and the stakeholders are rejoicing over the choice of Nwobodo as their local government helmsman.
Finally, governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s unprecedented footprints achievement could be rightly traced to Nkanu east local government, Udenu LGA, Uzo Uwani LGA, Awgu LGA, Udi LGA, Ezeagu LGA and Igboeze South respectively. These local governments specifically mentioned above are where developments thrives because of non existing godfather or modern day neo colonialist. Other LGAs are playing to the gallery.
