The government of Gov ifeanyi Ugwuanyi have provided succor to rural dwellers to improve their standard of living. There are massive developmental and life changing projects going on in almost all autonomous community in Enugu state. Enugu state have 118 autonomous communities. Few years ago, each autonomous community was given 5m for rural development. So many communities embacked on various developmental projects. Ezzodo autonomous community embacked on rural electrification while Igbelle, Amufie, Olido etc embacked on water projects. Some built schools with it while others built health centers. Some roads and others market. Around the whole of Enugu state, there is a visible project the money was spent on. This have given rural dwellers relief and sense of belonging. This is not government asking you what you want, it is government giving you money to do what you want.
By doing this, it is impossible to divert the money to private pockets because it was made known to the whole community how much was given. The entire community decides what to do with their money and give government continuous feedback. This have alleviated the sufferings of rural dwellers and improved their standard of living. If previous government have been doing so, we would have moved far more than where we are now. It is a good developmental formula for incoming governments. If we do it every two years for 10 years, we will develope evenly all part of Enugu state. Gburu Gburu, carry go.
