….Enjoys support from Orba indigenous Health practitioners.
A reinforced team of GburusCare medical practitioners on 13th June graced the land of Ohom Orba in Udenu Local Government area. It was a hugely successful medical outreach that witnessed not just a large turn out of elderlies but a correspondent turnout of Health professionals. In our usual fashion, the GburusCare team comprised Medical Doctors, Nurses, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Physiotherapists, and Dentists.
The Ohom Orba outreach was spectacular in several fashion. Being the home of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, GburusCare operated within an almost palpable ambience of support and acceptance that was even evidenced by the decision of some Orba indigenous health practitioners to offer their volunteer services to the GburusCare objectives. We strongly commend the Orba New Breed Association for availing us the priceless ingenuity of Dr. Nnadi Casmir, (Department of Surgery UNTH) and Pharm. Ugwu Kingsley kelechi.
Also instructive is that the GburusCare Initiative has engaged the volunteer services of Reverend Sister Maryfrancis Henrietta U. Okafor, a London trained health and social care worker with specialty in geriartric care and certified by EDEXCEL, a UK awarding body. We are optimistic that with her vast experience from working in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Rome and London, her participation would provide counsel and guidance to the GburusCare Geriatric intervention.
We also would appreciate the kind support of these young leaders, Hon. Nnaemeka Eze (Nani Boi), Member IV ENSUBEB and Hon. Barr. Levi’s Abonyi, the Executive Secretary, Enugu State Scholarship Board. These leaders were at the venue even before the arrival of our team to ensure that all preparations were made and that every elderly person in Ohom benefits. Infact they remained with us throughout the intervention running different errands to ensure the success of the outreach. Their participation demonstrated not only an unwavering love for their people but also underscores the importance of having young people in Government.
In all, the GburusCare Initiative ceaselessly lauds His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for being a paragon of love that reaches out. GCI remains undauntedly committed to optimal service delivery.
