Enugu State has been on steady progress in the last six years. The state has been moving towards a trajectory of a robust economy, investments in strategic development infrastructures and strategic microeconomics directions such as employment in relevant areas that will strengthen the economy and grassroots development. His Excellency, the governor of Enugu state has become a potent force in this direction and many more. Enugu state is on steady part of self socio-economic recovery.
In the area of human capital development, governor Ugwuanyi Enugu State has also been emphatic with far reaching policies to take the vast majority of the youths off the streets for accelerated economic growth. His excellent uptake with the SME Centre in Enugu has not only been alluring but yielding desired results. Youths of Enugu State are no regarded as lay back stocks. By embracing the economic blueprint of the Governor in the improvement of their lot, things are actually looking up in the positive direction. At the last count, thousands of Enugu youths have been trained in various skills and over a thousand more are undergoing training on Auto-Revamp in automobile companies at zero cost. Not done, he also facilitated and approved free interest loans for these trainees. This noble gesture has also been extended to Students who are undergoing various studies in the state’s tertiary institutions. Through promptings, some of them were encouraged to own businesses which is now yielding fruit while access to Human Capital Development Loan have been enabled and made easier for prospective beneficiaries
Enugu State as the political headquarters of the Eastern Nigeria, governor Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi has left no stone unturned to establish enduring peace and stability in the socio-political economy. No wonder, Enugu State has truly become a destination of choice for wide spectrum of individuals. No fewer than ten commendations come from different individuals and interest groups daily in support of the sterling achievements of Ugwuanyi’s administration in virtually all facets of economic, political, cultural and social development of Enugu State. We shall continue to echo the mantra of good leadership exemplified by his Excellency the governor, Gburu-Gburu 1 of Enugu State, Rt honorable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
