The maker of man is God of purpose. The day He created man, He called him to specific tasks, purposes and destinies in life. He first wired men with the grace to manifest and abound fruitfully in the area of their callings. He gifts them with the enablement to act in their habitats with ease and perspicuity of purpose. The Igbo proverb that the leopard should not go after the monkey, for it was born on heights is a narrative that points to this understanding and truth about callings and attendant giftings.
According to the book of life, the bible, many are called but few are chosen. It is not enough to be called. Calling finds fulfilment when the called answer to their calls by positioning themselves within their calling fields. If you are called to catch a wale, you do not go to the stream behind your house in the village; you rather relocate to the high waters: seas and oceans where wales could be caught, for there is no wale in that stream. Many people do not fulfill their callings in their life time. The grave is replete with unfulfilled destinies. Some were robbed by forces beyond them; some did not position themselves to their calling fields; some coveted the other person’s gifting and took to the wrong paths. Knowing and positioning oneself in one’s calling fields helps the manifestation of gifts.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State is obviously called to the leadership of men. This is evident in the ease with which he governs the state and stirs it in the right direction economically, politically and on all fours. While some states are ailing and casting down in the face of scotching economic downturn and topsy-turvy situations, especially the security situation in Nigeria and the many vices of COVID-19, Ugwuanyi’s Enugu State shouts there is a lifting up in. Ugwuanyi has the anointing of God for the leadership of men and that is why he does not struggle to lead well. That is what he is created to do. He found his destiny and it is paying off. Otherwise, how else could anyone explain the excellent otherness of Enugu State before its peers in the midst of challenging situations bedeviling the many states of the Nigerian nation? That was akin to the story of Solomon which attracted kings and queens (notably Queen of Sheba) who left their kingdoms and sailed to Israel to behold the uncommon wisdom and exceptional leadership acumen of King Solomon. That was the testimony of Nicodemus who visited Jesus at night and confirmed that no man could do such things as Christ did except God was with Him. Indeed, it is not by power nor might but by the spirit of God.
Governor Ugwuanyi is enabled by God. How do you explain his calmness and natural equanimity in the face of threatening miasmaticchallenges? How do you explain his unqualified urbanity in the face of troubled political and economic waters; in the face of virulent projectiles? How do you explain his large heart to contain all with a smiling countenance at all times? How do you explain the fact that while other states owe salaries, Ugwuanyi pays the Enugu civil servants promptly? How do you explain the fact that Ugwuanyi still executes many projects across the 17 local governments of Enugu State, despite the paucity of funds at his disposal? How do you explain the fact that Enugu State is peaceful and secure in the sea of terrorism? Indeed no one can do all these among which few are mentioned except God is with them; except they are created to sleek through tortuous paths? And Ugwuanyi has treaded successfully many tortuous paths to the aristocratic palace of good governance.
Governor Ugwuanyi is many parts so excellent and the title of His Excellency finds true essence in him. With Ugwuanyi, righteousness is enthroned and the people of the state are rejoicing and thanking the Most High for the rare gift of this exceptional leadership with which He blessed the state. If third tenure was to be constitutionally tenable, the people would surely pray Governor Ugwuanyi to continue.
The parable of the talents is one narrative Jesus gave out to teach the value and essence of promotion. They who profited with their talents were commended and promoted. Because Governor Ugwuanyi profited much to the gain of the people with his leadership talents, promotion is inevitable. These things are automated in the spiritual realm. God puts them in place and whoever satisfies the conditions naturally takes the blessings. Out of two or three witnesses the truth is established. Many Nigerians are pointing to the template of good leadership in Enugu State and are coveting it for use in the amelioration of the terrible situation of misrule and near destruction of the country as it is the case presently. They are asking for Ugwuanyi. The voice of men is the voice of God. Little wonder the mind of Nigerians recently reflected in the prophetic grace of the primate of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Ayodele Elijah, calling Ugwuanyi to the presidency of Nigeria. This is a prophet from God, for that which he says comes to pass. Ugwuanyi is arguably the mind of God. If it be so, then let Governor Ugwuanyi get ready, for no one can disannul the mind of God.
Corollary to the prophecy of Primate Elijah Ayodele is the video clip gone viral where Femi Fani Kayode is pointing Nigeria to Ugwuanyi’s leadership grace. Of a truth, flesh and blood did not reveal this to FFK; the spirit did. According to him, Ugwuanyi does not make noise but he is arguably the greatest leader in the contemporary Nigeria who has the bravura and core competence to lead Nigeria out of the woods.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, the other day he paid a visit to Ugwuanyi, also confirmed the obvious fact that the PDP has one of its best in Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Testifying further of Ugwuanyi’s savviness and urbanity, Wike said, “This man you are seeing here, he is very quiet, very humble but he knows what to do at any point in time. Governor Ugwuanyi is not a noisemaker; he does not shout like me; he is very humble; he takes everything gently. He is a God-fearing man.”
As we set our faces about the presidential race in 2023, and bearing in mind all that Nigerians have suffered from 2015 up until now, let every Nigerian have succour in the hope of Governor Ugwuanyi answering to the higher calling into the office of the presidency of Nigeria. The Almighty God who began this good work will bring it to perfection when on may 29th, 2023, we shall sing Hallelujah to the Most High for the blessing and gift of Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi.
