Eminent Philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson views a transcendentalist as an idealist who upholds a system of thought and belief system based on the essential unity of all creations and the innate goodness of humanity.

Governor Ugwuanyi’s liberal interpersonal relationship transcends beyond all known delineated limitations and have cut across social, political, traditional and religious boundaries. Over time, many eminent clergymen, prominent politicians, established professionals, traditional leaders of note, the ordinary men in the streets as well as people from the outside shores of the Nigerian state have come to collectively acknowledge and extol Governor Ugwuanyi’s marginal virtues of humility, peace, justice, cheerful dispositions and
all-inclusive governance.

Just recently, the apex Igbo sociocultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, speaking through the Secretary General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, had stated that “Governor Ugwuanyi of Enugu State will be remembered as a man of Peace and a silent Achiever, with sustainable infrastructural developments.”

The fruitful results of Governor Ugwuanyi’s unrestricted interpersonal connectivities have made Enugu State a national center for peaceful dialogues, vocational resorts and safe haven for local, national and international engagements for different people irrespective of tribes , party lines, religious beliefs or ethnic nationalities.
The choice for the State could only happen under a humble non – tribal servant leader and an astute political gladiator in the person of Rt Hon Governor Ifeanyichukwu Lawrence Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu State.

The general acceptability of the people’s Governor by people from all works of life can be viewed against the backdrop of regular inflows of some dignitaries to the Governor’s Office Enugu. Last year, Kano and Sokoto Emirate Councils, prominent political figureheads in the Presidency alongside some Federal Government Ministers as well as the leadership of the 7th National Assembly, accompanied by other political heavyweights, had visited the Lion Building, Enugu.

This year, Governor Ugwuanyi has continued to receive special blessings from powerful men of God. What else could one expect from a compassionate and God fearing leader who has dedicated his government, the State and the people faithfully in the hands of God? “Enugu State is truly in the hands of God”

The General Overseer Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Bishop Enoch Adeboye had commended the humility found in Governor Ugwuanyi during his last visit to Enugu State. In his words: “I was shocked and surprised to have the Governor of Enugu State to come down himself to the airport to welcome me.” The Chancellor of the Diocese of Nike, Rt Rev Christian Onyia had remarked during a recent engagement and I quote “the Humble Lion expressed an act of humility when he entered from behind during the church service without seeking attention”. In this same vein, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese Most Rev Calistus Onaga had described Gov Ugwuanyi as “a man of peace and a very nice man who feels the pulse of the people”. Only recently, the Chairman of Igbo Etiti Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Igwe Michael C Odo, described Enugu State as “the destination choice for all people of Nigeria, for the peace, security and good governance entrenched in Enugu State by Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration”.

The professionals and the citizens in the diaspora were not left out in the continuous good report turned out in favor of Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration. The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN, had earlier in the year commended the Governor for his “resilience, humility, sensitive to the plights of the people, drive, vision and purpose he brought to governance in spite of enormous challenges confronting the country since he assumed office in 2015”. At the international level, Governor Ugwuanyi’s lifestyles had attracted diasporic acceptance. In September this year, Nigerians resident in Turkey and led by Prince Emre Magboh, President of Nigerians living in Turkey, had bestowed on Ugwuanyi a meritorious Award as the Most Peaceful Governor in Nigeria for the year 2021.

Gburugburu has adequately demonstrated uncommon resolve and dogged political will, not only to develop Enugu State, but also to ensure total reintegration of the Igbos once again into the mainstreams of the national politics, even to the level of accommodating his political opponents simply for the benefits of our people. Recently the Governor was ably represented at the Commissioning of 40.27 kilometer link roads between Enugu and Ebonyi States by President Mohammed Buhari. The Governor had then praised the Federal Government, saying that “the roads were critical for rapid economic developments of the two States.”

Bibian Anekwe News added; “The value of a man and a leader should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.”
