There is nothing so appealing than having a LEADER who cares for every happening around him.
Governor Ugwuanyi is such a leader. That’s why people within and outside the state have hailed and still hailing him for his serious commitment to the welfare of citizens of Enugu state especially the youth.
Beccause he has the interest of youth in mind , Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration has serious commitment toward youth empowerment and development. His administration has initiated variety of youth empowerment and development, and many are underway for the teeming youth of Enugu state.
All his empowerment programmes aimed at improving youth social skills, improving behaviours, increasing academic achievement, increasing self-esteem, increasing self-efficacy, alleviating poverty and increasing youth standard of living in Enugu state and beyond.
Remember , youth empowerment is a process where youth and young people are encouraged to change of their lives. Governor Ugwuanyi is doing this to the young people and youth by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their belief, values, and attitudes.
His administration is achieving these through the ministry of youth and sports, ministry of Science and technology, Enugu SME Centre and through legal youth bodies in the state.

Ugwuanyi’s administration has empowered many youth of this state through different youth bodies such as Agbaja youth Assembly, Nkanu youth Assembly, Enugu West youth Assembly, Nsukka youth Assembly, Awgu youth Assembly, National youth Council of Nigeria Enugu state chapter, National Association of Nigerian Students, and lots of them.
It is now on record that the first ever youth and students trade fair held in Enugu, was held under Ugwuanyi’s administration. Not only that it was held, but the governor himself was live at the trade-fair and was delighted for what he saw on ground at the fair. He also gave a very huge motivation to the youth and students and organizers of the fair.
Also, through the ministry of science and technology, Ugwuanyi’s administration established technology hubs which are cited in Enugu capital and Obollo-Afor respectively. These technology hubs established target over 10,000 jobs and over 1,500 small scale tech. businesses which the youth would be the beneficiaries. Youth will benefit from the technology hubs centres through web designs, solar skills acquisition training, computer training programme, computer coding , graphic designs, confectionaries, and hand-on technical skills training.
A lot has been achieved for youth through Enugu SME Centre. Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration was able to train and empower over 10,000 youth and students in different fields.
Over 750 youths have been empowered in skill acquisition under the sustainable development goals (SDGs) programme.
This administration has offered scholarship to 680 indigent students of IMT Enugu and Enugu state polytechnics, Iwollo, Ezeagu LGA.
Also, Governor Ugwuanyi has awarded scholarship to 22 tertiary students presently studying at Indian University, Mewar to be precised.
Bursary allowance was also granted to over 246 indigent students at the Nigeria Law School
Youths are also engaged to clean up the state under Enugu Clean Team Project with additional 1,000 workers underway.
Also, since the inception of Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration, over 10,000 youth have gained employment into the state civil service , while more youth are to gain before the end of this year 2021 because they are bound on creating more and more employment opportunities for the teeming youth of Enugu state.
Governor Ugwuanyi has done so much to the youths and students of Enugu state.
