…..AS GOVERNMENT MEDICAL CARE OUTREACH FOR THE AGED PERSONS COMMENCES IN EDEM NSUKKA ,ENUGU STATE
It is not new that old age is a blessing. People are praying to live into old age.
But old people in the society are more vulnerable and expose to all kinds of sicknesses and diseases.
Many age people have been neglected by either their families, relatives or friends.
Some could not afford hospital expenses,thereby keeping themselves at home waiting for their creator to call them to eternity.
No government in the past had given priority to the old people not to talk of caring for them, especially their medical and health issues even since inception of Enugu state.
But the case was different since Governor Ugwuanyi came on board. Ugwuanyi’s heart of humanity and care for all , down to the troddens , has moved him to continue in his good deeds on the aged people , showing much love and priority on them.
Governor Ugwuanyi has reinstated his commitment to quality medical and health care to people of Enugu state especially the children and aged ones
This his commitment, has made him deployed medical experts to EDEM NSUKKA as they commenced medical care missions to all the aged people
Ugwuanyi’s administration target is to get the old aged persons treated of their sicknesses and diseases in their various homes, reducing them stress of going to hospitals, and also to reduce the recurrent health issues among old aged ones. The health issues such high blood pressure HPB , high blood sugar, ulcer, worm, arthritis, hepatitis B and C, malaria parasite, among others.
These medical experts move house to house, attending to medical and health needs of the old aged persons in the area.
They comprised of medical doctors, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, and pharmacists respectively
They consulted, counselled the old people, checked vital signs, carried out tests, prescribed medications, and dispensed to the patients
The old aged persons were also given multi-vitamins that would boost their immunity and make their immune systems function well to withstand sicknesses and diseases
Some were also recommended higher medical attentions.
The movement which has shown how much love, care and priority the governor places on the health of the aged people , has recorded tremendous success since started.
The project is the first of its kind since creation of Enugu state and it is happening under GOVERNOR UGWUANYI’s administration
Indeed, Enugu state people applaud Gburugburu for his magnanimity
