With my God’s ordained right to censure what I perceive as evil and commend the good, I wish to briefly make use of this channel to present the enchanting album of one of the most performing local government chairmen in Enugu State; a man who has demonstrated his rapt consciousness of the delicate balance of political leadership with a formidable formula to straighten the narrative and justify the legitimacy of his reign : HON. IFEANYI PASCAL AGU(UDI SMART CITY MAYOR)
With a swift response to the myriads of challenges facing most of the local government areas in Nigeria, but particularly in Udi , UDI SMART CITY MAYOR ( USCM) Hon. Ifeanyi Agu keeps dramatizing his sentimental inclination to ignite solutions than anything otherwise. As a timely diffusion from the stable of the media team of ENUGU DI N’AKA CHUKWU MOVEMENT (BIBIAN ANEKWE NEWS) which recently invested some quality time to take a conscious peep at the performance of the mayor of the council , is a run down of some of the projects undertaken by Hon. Agu’s administration.
* Construction of Umuaga – Umuabi 2.6km link road.
* Reconstruction of the Udi L. G. A. Headquarters Pavilion.
* Renovation of Udi L. G. A Chairman’s office block.
*Renovation of Udi L. G. A. Education Department.
* Rehabilitation and Renovation of Udi L. G. A. old administrative block.
* Provision of perimeter lighting for Udi General Hospital.
* Improving the all important 9th mile to an enviable smart city
* Intervention / Rehabilitation for Ibute Okpatu mechanised water borehole.
With feasible and visible evidence in the growth and development in Agro-Entrepreneurship and result-oriented educational reforms and simultaneously harnessing opportunities to breathe life into the health sector, Hon. Ifeanyi Agu proves that he has smart vision for his people.
It is known that the magnanimity of a man generates more impacts during the period of adversity and the timely response of Hon. Ifeanyi Agu’s administration to cushion the ravaging effects of Covid 19 during the excruciating lockdown through a non-discriminatory distribution of the palliative packages helped in engraving the Hon. Ifeanyi Agu’s name in the sands of time.
As a punctual and an attentive listener in Gov.Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s leadership class, Udi smart city mayor ensured that food items ranging from rice, noodles, to salt including other necessary condiments were evenly distributed in all the thirty-eight communities that make up Udi Local Government Area.
For the fact that party affiliations was not prioritised in the process of sharing the palliatives spoke volumes of Hon. Ifeanyi Agu’s humanity. For ensuring that more than four thousand people benefitted from the Covid 19 palliatives without any controversy, the people have kept on endorsing Hon. Ifeanyi Agu.
Nevertheless, as I pause to conclude, my candid opinion is that Udi smart city mayor( USCM) Hon. Ifeanyi Agu, The Udi Local Government Chairman should keep the ball rolling; setting paces worthy of emulation as the reward for excellence in delivery is certainly more jobs and responsibilities and we pray that the protections seeping out from the unshakable Palm of God where Enugu State had been entrusted upon from the beginning will inevitably shade Hon. Ifeanyi Agu from dangers, so that we can tap more from his grace and treasures.
