A 50-year-old kidnap kingpin recently arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Katsina State has said he saw nothing wrong with banditry and kidnapping until he was arrested by security operatives.
Bibian Anekwe News understands that the State Police Command on Wednesday, September 29, arraigned the suspect, Surajo Mamman, better known as Kutaku.
Confessing his crimes at the force headquarters during the parade, Kutaku said he has lost count of people he killed and kidnapped.
The suspect had also told the police that he is the second in command to Sani Muhidinge, a wanted notorious bandit on government watchlist hibernating in Rugu forest, between Katsina and Zamfara States.
Bibian Anekwe News reports that the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP. Isah Gambo paraded the notorious kidnapper alongside other criminals on Wednesday.
In his confession, Kutaku said: “I have been involved in kidnapping and other banditry related crimes for a very long time now. I cannot remember the exact number of people I have killed or kidnapped but they are many.
“Actually, I didn’t really see anything wrong with my involvement in the act until I was arrested. But my eyes are opened now.”
He further revealed that he had participated in so many attacks, kidnapping, and cattle rustling in villages at Dan Musa, Safana, Dutsinma and Batsari LGA of the state.
Meanwhile, the Senior Pastor and founder of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has suggested that kidnappers terrorizing the country should be killed on sight.
The respected clergy is quoted to have said this while preaching live at his church on Wednesday.
Lamenting the spate of insecurity in the country, Pastor Enenche slammed security agencies for arresting kidnappers who have plunged the entire nation into pandemonium.
