From time immemorial it has been vociferously argued that a man who has nothing to die for has nothing to live for. Socrates, the classic philosopher understood the intrinsic nature and the sovereignty of man and advised him accordingly to know himself. Right from the inception of the electioneering campaign for the epic 2023 General Elections in Enugu State and Nigeria at large, His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah did not betray any emotion as a man who do not understand what his job descriptions entails if Ndi Enugu offers him their mandate. Today, everything is looking up. Dr. Mbah appears a leader at ease with governance responsibilities without qualms. Governor Ndubiusi Mba appears to be a man in a hurry to fulfill all his campaign promises to the good people of the state.
There is no doubt that Gov. Mbah is preoccupied with the irrepressible desire to execute his “humongous” social contract with the good people of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah is uncontrollably and literally in HASTE to fulfill his own sides of the bargain and that could be the only explanation for this multi-sectoral and multi-tasking approach to governance that is currently driving the socio-economic and the political temperament in the state.
There is an agelong ugly reality that good people face untold challenges and Dr. Peter Mbah is not an exception as it seems that he is currently the most embattled governor from the Eastern geopolitical block and is unarguably the most pragmatic leader at the moment through a thorough and conscious implementation of the road map of his rhetorics and visions for the good people of Enugu State. While the disgruntled opposition parties in Enugu State are still fantasizing the abrupt expiration of Dr. Peter Mbah’s term in office due to their cheap and unguarded propaganda, the amiable governor who is clearly driven by the arithmetical and the statistical indices of the much desired and anticipated exponential socio-economic growth and the political advancement of his people is consequently more distressed by the myriads of challenges facing Ndi Enugu and is more concerned in resolving the daring impediments and the significant deficiencies mowing down the people’s creative and entrepreneurial arsenal that would eventually culminate in the ultimate launching of Enugu State into the competitive world of right-round development and digital advancement.
Gov. Peter Mbah is not distracted by the series of propaganda and court cases fueled by dirty oppositions that are bereft of constructive criticism , rather he is more stressed by the urgent need to assuage the yearnings of the people in the areas of insecurities, environmental hazards, educational underdevelopment, infrastructural deficits and other lapses that deserve emergency care and attention. His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah is today more distressed in his resilient resolutions and concomitant actions to ensure that in truth and in words that certainly OUR TOMORROW IS FINALLY HERE.
