Moses was by divine providence spared from being killed like other male offsprings from the wombs of the Israelites sojourning at the time in Egypt. By divine providence also, he lived to lead the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt. It was a task he completed through divine guidance and instructions. According to the Biblical account, Moses came, saw and was able to conquer following God’s divine presence and grace.
Abraham, our father in faith also trusted God completely by following His divine plan and promise. It was his belief in God that that yielded his son David to him even when he and his wife were past age of reproduction. Yet he trusted God much even to accepting to sacrifice the same son, Isaac as God demanded of him. It is therefore safe to say that men of character with absolute trust have existed long before Ugwuanyi was born.
However, we often relate historical events with contemporary happenings. One is often bemused at how opposition elements have readily scoffed at Ugwuanyi’s mantra of handing Enugu State to God. Even as they do this, it is certain that they know that whatever is handed to God never fails or got missing.
Today, Ugwuanyi is confident to keep Enugu State perpetually in the hands of God in so long as He has divinely guided him to achieve modestly since his assumption of office in 2015.
Gov. Ugwuanyi absolute trust and belief in God has thus brought him so far in the political firmament of this country. First as a two time, House of Representatives Member and then as a Governor of Enugu State for 2 terms. His humility and loyalty to his party ideals as well as political associates has even won him more accolades that can not be able to mention here.
Governor Ugwuanyi’s achievements in office has continued to earn him public acceptance and applause as he had gone from strength to strength in development.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a true rare gift to the people of Enugu State and Nigeria at large.
Recently, the Bishops of Anglican communion commended his good services in the state, his respect and loyalty to God and peace initiative. Rt. Rev. Christian Onyia(Enugu) and his Taraba State counterpart, Rt. Rev. Foreman Nedison, was on Sunday, 7th Nov. 2021 reechoed that the Peace the people of Enugu State enjoys under the stewardship of Ugwuanyi is second to none. While conducting a Thanksgiving service of the Cathedral Church of St. Cyprian, Abakpa-Nike, Enugu in honor of Hon. Justice Harold Obianunwa Eya of the Enugu State High Court who was installed as the Chancellor of the Diocese of Nike Anglican Communion,
the Bishop of the Diocese Rt. Rev. Christian Onyeka Onyia stated particularly, that the Humble White Lion is an embodiment of humility.
This is not the first time the working Governor is being commended by Clergies. Recall that the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Bishop Enoch A Adeboye commended the humble disposition of Governor Ugwuanyi when he visited Enugu in the second quarter of the year, 2021. It was Pa Adebayo who expressed shock and surprise at Governor Ugwuanyi’s uncommon humility when he went personally to the airport to receive the man of God and made his stay in the state very eventful.
South-East zone are praying for this peace Ugwuanyi has established in Enugu State to cascade to the entire zone and the nation at large. It is important to place Ugwuanyi in the hands of God to enable him be considered for bigger national assignments after his tenure in office as governor would have ended in 2023.
We pray for this peace ndi Enugu enjoys to be extended to the entire country and it is only the initiator and Peace-Ambassandor can do it.
