The two characters embroidered in the caption of this piece are perhaps quite different great personalities representing in a most amazing fashion their chosen professions and yet sharing semblance in merchandising their commodities for the common good and happiness of the people.
Very many people till date still holds tenaciously to the belief that the all time whiz-kid of the round leather game is the Argentine Diego Maradona whose professional booting and romance with the ball exudes unrivalled dexterity even after his exit from the field of play.
With the passage of time, Maradona came to be associated with dribbling savvy and in Nigeria politics there was no qualms in singling out a near character or more so of Diego wiles who dribbled themselves into dark passages of history having yanked off a century chance to redirect the pallbearer of the Nigerian state.
For one, Maradona while plundering his natural implanted gift of frolicking with the ball, many tempest tossed souls received salvation, they cheered and hollered in return. He surrendered his talent to the service of humanity even when barraged with hostile tackles by opponents who conceived him as making jest of their sportsmanship. These perplexed opponents would easily benumb the referee in their rage to dislodge and disengage Maradona from the ball which the latter glued to like mistletoe.
Then comes the White Lion, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a man the nation now observes with rapturous ardor and admiration for his unusual humane style of leadership. If Gov. Ugwuanyi were to take on the striking wing of Lionel Messi, the net would swing forth and forth at the piercing beep of the whistle.
In Nigerian,the political turf is inhabited by unsmiling alligators jostling for the fittest survival stripped of morality, wisdom and aptitude to refrain from injuring the sensibilities of the greater masses spectating in utter disability.
Gov. Ugwuanyi is a man of solomonic scion whose words are laced with philosophical interstices and wisdom, wielding full knowledge of absurd intrigues associated with our political ocean where every pronouncements from a leader can easily be chanced upon by detractors for manipulative tendencies.
As an exceptional leader, Gov.Ugwuanyi is as meticulous as the defence counsel battle ready to make a clean sweep of his client misdemeanors. In doing so, he believes in the supremacy of justice and equity in determining the fate of Enugu State come 2023 not by anyone’s arbitrary whimsical mechanisation. Only God transfers leadership mantle at the appropriate time.
In 1558, when Queen Elizabeth 1, the virgin Queen took over the reigns of England, there was much need of securing a man fit to be her king, but this task for fundamental reasons nursed by the Queen alone was mired in years of controversies and complications even as a handful of European Absaloms’ of noble birth deluged her with proposals and on extreme occasions made uncouth overtures. Drawing hugely from this outstanding leadership qualities of the Queen Elizabeth, Governor Ugwuanyi is no mean Diego of modern politics for the people and by the people. As 2023 drags near by day, tension builds from every quarters with each of them clamoring for vindication relevance and supremacy. In fact, each quarter appears not to take chances in employing whatever is left in their political ammo to recapture what is alleged to be due to them. The more consistent claim has been on traditional wheeling of power in the extant Senatorial Zones.
Another side of the unfolding episode campaigns vigorously on the authority of grundnorm of country granting unfettered rights to all and sundry to vote and be voted for against the unwritten custom of gallivanting power that have afforded peace and sense of belongings to the Ndi Enugu for year now.
Certainly, these are ball passes channelled to the ready dribbling feet of Gov.Ugwuanyi who without iota of doubt would make good the passes for common good and posterity goal.
In fact, a better assist pass came from the Enugu East Senatorial Zone during their rally down to popular Micheal Okpara square where Ugwuanyi was obliged with their hiership interest but the Icon Maradona of the Lion Building was calculative on how to trade difficult passes from Sergio Ramos to the back of the net.

For anything, I promise you justice and equity.”
And for sure, none has been offended and everyone is happy.. that is Politics without bitterness and acrimony.
