During the 2015 General Elections, His Excellency Rt Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ugwuanyi emerged the Flag bearer of the party, PDP. He received an overwhelming support from all the Nooks and crannies of the state. Am persuaded to say that he won the General Election unopposed as it remains the only time in annals of political history of the state a candidate of a political party won almost unopposed in a General Election.
The level and kind of support drummed for him irrespective of party affiliations was amazing, thus, testimonies abound of his generosity and thoughtfulness to people even as a member of the National Assembly.
His unprecedented acceptance/ support and subsequently emergence as the Executive Governor of the state are testaments that the people have implicit confidence in his vision, ability and capacity to take Enugu state to a better level.
HAS GBURUGBURU FAILED US?
I make no pretenses in saying that since assumption of office, Gburugburu has left no one in doubt about his commitment to the common good of the people. He brought peace amongst the stakeholders of the state and has most consistently maintained a good relationship with All and Sundry, as evidenced by the existing peace in the state.
He has shown much commitment towards consolidating the existing Triangular Equilibrium Zoning arrangement in the state which he is a beneficiary.
Gburugburu has done immensely in the area of Infrastructural Development. He has revamped many moribund Health facilities, constructed Urban and Rural roads, constructed and renovated Education facilities and totally transformed the sector ETC.
These and many other achievements have earned him much recognition even across the state boundaries.
As the people of the state continue to celebrate his achievements, some LGA and Senatorial Zones are also celebrating what they call “Liberation from perpetual political bondage initiative of gburugburu” to the said group, GBURUGBURU has in addition to other achievements recorded, democratically brought power back to the people from the “very few ”
