The forever in the news and for the right reasons leader of Enugu State beheld a mammoth crowd of citizens majorly of the youth stock from Opi in Igbo-Etiti local government of the state when they organized a ‘Thank you’ visit to Governor Ugwuanyi in recognition of his uncommon developmental strides and peace in the state.
Governor Ugwuanyi has often admitted the fact that his reign is a reflection of God’s intervention in the affairs of Ndi Enugu and would forever hand Him all the honor and glory for his perceived performances in the office as governor.
Governor Ugwuanyi is celebrated today across the length and breath of this country as an embodiment of peace. This is the reason why almost on daily basis, citizens from far and near took out time to sincerely show their appreciation for his good works in Enugu State. The youths of Opi in there numbers through their well delivered address, eulogized governor Ugwuanyi to no end for his selfless service to Ndi Enugu and Opi Community in particular. They recalled the ground breaking ceremony recently in the community where Ugwuanyi planned to build a state of the art round about and a tower that will usher in both economic and social benefits to the people of the area and beyond. They therefore, pledged their unalloyed support towards the execution and completion of the epoch project.
They praised his style of leadership and partisan politics which have often accommodated all shades of opinion irrespective of party divides and such sundry considerations which is not a common feature in our polity. They noted that for this singular reason of belonging to everybody, peace and harmony have found abode in the land of Enugu State. Today, citizens from across the country are trooping in to enjoy Enugu State hospitality and peace which are necessary ingredients for investment and economic development.
Keen watchers of politics in Enugu state would readily appreciate what the political space used to be before the emergence of Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Opposition and divergent views about government policies are often met with state force to cow them. These days, no one even needs a preaching to see the handiwork of the Governor in every sphere of the socio-cultural and political economy. His massive development in spite of the lean economic resources accruing to the state is something to be cheerful for and applauded in all honesty.
The youths of Opi capped their address by commending the governor for peace and security in their community adding that the peace Ambassador is their reason for remaining hopeful in the midst of uncertainties and other challenges in the land.
Governor Ugwuanyi who grinned from ear to ear during the thank you visit, thanked the Opi youths and admonished them to stay the course of peace, since no tangible development can take place in an atmosphere of chaos and political insecurity.
Governor Ugwuanyi is a great Shepherd who does not go to sleep while the sheep are awake.
