The caption of this piece would prima facie dislodge your countenance as to what the contents stomach. Be at peace. I once had a seldsome happenstance to confab with a professor of political science in a symposium arranged by one civil society pro’s. “Politics Play” was the topical issue.
Ordinarily, the market denotation of Politics is science of government. Again, terrorism has acquired complex and controversial meaning given the everyday morphing of the means of terrorists goals execution. However, John Philip Jenkins’ definition appears to capture rudiments of terrorism as he stated that it is a calculated use of violence to create a general climate of fear in the population and thereby to bring about a Political objective.
Terrorism actually stretch to psychological warfare as opposed to routine associated weaponry violence. And that’s exactly what my Prof. interlocutory denied his convenience to explain to me. He bundled me along on a voyage to saner climes where Politics and Terrorism has no marriage bond unlike here in Nigeria. Very curiously, I listen in a rapturous ardor while he argued profusely on how Nigerians play Politics and Terrorism for same selfish end. Yet he was truthful to add that when good men find themselves at helm of affairs, they rather advance humanity course than trade Politics.
He was right in the case of Gov.Ugwuanyi though they never met prior to latter’s rise to power. Ugwuanyi has been, is and will continue represent whatever leadership connotes.
Leaders are known for there magic wand in long jumping detractors ill-fated missiles. Ugwuanyi as a chess Master now takes fond in meandering those cheap baits times and again.
One wonders what these jobbers seek to achieve by exhuming an ugly incident; that the people of Nimbo Uzo-Uwani have pushed aside. I don’t intend to dignify the hollow, empty and inconsequential farce enjoying media patronage against Gov. Ugwuanyi.
My poser is simple; how have those jobbers with all their expansive contacts after donkey years in Abuja, helped beef up Enugu State Security and the Eastern zone entirely?
Isn’t laughable that even Gov.Samuel Ortom of Benue State, the worst visited of herdsmen cleansing never grumbled against Presidency snobbing(if at all there was) calls evidenced by his persisted plea for Federal government intervention; then Ugwuanyi who has steadfastly ensured peace across borderlines. Perhaps, Presidency body language for education might have changed overnight thus the siting of Federal Government Polytechnic Ohodo, Igbo-Etiti local Government under Gburugburu’s watch.
Ugwuanyi knows his onions.
The aspect of these unabashed jobbers terrorism is to ingrain fear in the heart of Ndi Enugu that our workaholic governor ain’t in good papers of the Presidency and that our lives are at stake… pathetic.
Such futile and infantile ludo game gets me laughing kekekeke!
