The viral video of Pastor David Ibiyeomie insulting media personality, Daddy Freeze has continued to generate mixed reactions from Nigerians.
Ibiyeomie is the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries with headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He is a spiritual son of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church.
Ibiyeomie in a viral video from his Sunday service warned Freeze not to ever insult Oyedepo or talk about him.
According to the Cleric, ‘he cannot be alive and watch someone insult his father, Oyedepo’.
He said in part: “I can’t be alive and you insult my father. The day Daddy Freeze insults Oyedepo I will deal with him and arrest him.”
The cleric’s reaction comes after Freeze had earlier condemned Oyedepo for saying women should submit to their husbands as a condition for good marriage.
Daddy Freeze in his reaction to the statement noted that Oyedepo’s advice is a misquote of the scriptures.
Pastor Ibiyeomie however took it upon himself to respond to Daddy Freeze’s stand, warning him not to talk about Oyedepo again or face the consequences.
Reacting to the entire saga, Ajuri Ngelale, the Senior Special Assistant To President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday to condemn Pastor Ibiyeomie’s stand.
He said “Not The Way. This Speech Is Not What Faith Allows Or Encourages.” in a comment to the viral video shared by a Twitter user.
