Nigerians are not ready to go to sleep on issues relating to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Prominent individuals in the country have shown their willingness to embark on protest against the brutality of the police operatives.
Popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, who had earlier called for a protest has been called on by the Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, to desist from his planned protest.
The Minister in his statement noted that the grievances faced by Nigerians are being attended to, hence no need for protest.
Naira Marley had vowed to lead the protest against injustice meted out on Nigerians.
Dare in his reaction to the planned protest noted that the federal government is determined to tackle the issue.
In a tweet, the minister wrote: “I urge you and other youth not to embark upon any protest. Your grievances are being addressed at the highest level of government.”
“As the Minister in charge of youth I know this is an issue that must be tackled. Government is doing just that.”
