SCAM ALERT: NDI ENUGU BEWARE OF DETRACTORS

Be careful about this present time, because the days are evil (Eph. 5:16).

For two days, I had watched what can best be described as “unidentified flying object” (UFO) circulate ubiquitously across social media platforms, casting aspersions on His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The material filled with baseless accusations titled: “Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Peter Mbah and their evil plot. A must to resist by Ndi Enugu” was authored by a certain Charles Obi Ngene (who appropriated the title ‘chief’ to his name) and circulated by army of disenchanted fellows sworn to disrepute the immaculate image of the people’s governor. His aim was nothing but to cause wanton disaffection between the governor and Ndi Enugu on whose service he has been for seven years and counting.

I never wanted to waste precious time discussing such inglorious write-up. But since, as they say, if evil is left unchallenged, it will over time assume the garb of good, I had to refute it and puncture its unsubstantiated claims. And so for the sake of the good people of Enugu state, this rejoinder is of invaluable dimension.

A poorly written article, laced with grammatical errors and disjointed syntax, the infamous writer struggled through the 529 worded essay to establish falsehood as truth. But incidentally, he ended up making no sense in the end. The subterfuge was so clear. He was doing a hatchet job for an underhanded man, which was dead on arrival. But since lies can never take the colour of truth no matter how hard the painter tried, his futile effort brought to the fore, desperation of certain delinquent few who pose as enemies of the state.

His Excellency, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who has refused to be distracted from his dutiful commitment to the mandate Ndi Enugu gave him, cannot be lured into the frenzy of the unnecessary politics of succession by unscrupulous allegations of having an ‘anointed’ candidate for the forthcoming general elections. He was elected in landslide victory by Ndi Enugu. He trusts that when the time is right, these same people who found him worthy of their electoral largesse will still find a fitting successor who will build on his indelible legacies. He never bothered about tomorrow. He knew tomorrow will take care of itself (Lk. 12:22), because Ndi Enugu are in charge.

Seeing how resolute and firm the governor is, in focusing on leadership instead of politics, the naysayers’ camp became unsettled. They needed attention. They needed to cause problems. Those are their stock-in-trade. They feed fat from causing disaffection. And thus, they had to arouse one of their own, who was so incoherent and premature, to author a piece alleging all sort of unfounded libelous misconducts against the governor shy of the minutest evidence.

It was the first time in modern times I hear a man of his standing talk about oath-taking before a deity of Gov. Ugwuanyi and Mr. Peter Mba. Everyone knew that Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s faith in Christ Jesus abhors such fetish outing. I had no intention on dwelling on the character assassination he metted to the person of Peter Mba, since I am sure that Mr. Mba’s legal team will reply him appropriately.

But let this warning be sounded for the umpteenth time: Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is innocent of these blackmail and sacrilegious stories peddled against across the cyberspace by few elements. Like our opening quotes above advised, the time is desperate and these days are evil. Let’s be guided accordingly to avoid falling for the cheap whims and caprices of those taking opposition politics to the north pole.

They are lucky they are engaging in all those criminal actions against a man of peace like His Excellency, Gov. Ugwuanyi. I knew of a certain regime in the past that any attempt to lauch such attack on the governor would be met with brute force and ultimate damages.
